Radiónica
Radiónica , also known as “Repitionica” is a Colombian state-owned music radio network, formerly known as ''99-1 Frecuencia Joven'' ("Young Frequency"). It belongs to the National Radio Television of Colombia, Colombia's state-owned national broadcaster. The network broadcast mainly independently-made music covering many genres, mostly rock, electronica, and metal, with some hip hop and reggae. It also promotes and broadcasts many Colombian artists. In 2005, Bogotá's 99.1 FM would become ''Radiónica'', during that year's Rock al Parque festival in Bogotá. It was known as ''Señal Radiónica'' between 2013 and 2015. Radiónica added its first station outside Bogotá in 2006, with HJXP 99.5 MHz in San Andrés Islas. Later it would expand to Cartagena, Cali and Medellín (2007), and other cities in 2009. RTVC Sistema de Medios Públicos (abbreviation of Radio Televisión Nacional de Colombia, known by its acronym ''RTVC'') is a public radio and television entity of Colombia, created by Decree 3525 of October 28, 2004, by dissolving Inravisión and its public production company Audiovisuales, under the government of President Álvaro Uribe Vélez. Rock Al Parque
Rock al Parque is a free rock music festival which has taken place in Bogotá, Colombia, since 1995. It typically gathers more than 50 bands and as many as 400,000 spectators. It is considered the largest rock festival in Colombia and one of the most important in Latin America. Its programme also includes ska, punk, hardcore, metal, and other genres. Rimshot (broadcasting)
In radio and television broadcasting a rimshot is a station that attempts to reach a larger media market from a distant suburban, exurban, or even rural location. The term is primarily used with FM stations, and mainly in North America. The name derives not from the sound of a rimshot in music, but rather from basketball, where the ball hits the rim of the basket, and may or may not go in. Rimshot stations are often at a disadvantage compared to higher-strength signals in a market. Many rimshot operators attempt to serve the larger market with a signal that has deficiencies in the intended listening area, especially on the far side from where it is transmitted. Many (if not most) rimshot stations are "move-ins", having moved to about halfway between their city of license (which they are legally required to cover and serve) and the metro area which they actually care about.
