The Radioactive City RollerGirls (RCRG) was a roller derby league based in Paducah, Kentucky. Founded in 2007, the league consisted of a single team, which competed against teams from other leagues. Women's Flat Track Derby Association
The Women's Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA) is the international governing body for the sport of women's flat track roller derby, and association of leagues around the world. The organization was founded in April 2004 as the United Leagues Coalition (ULC), but was renamed in November 2005. It is registered in Raleigh, North Carolina as a 501(c)(6) business league organization, a type of nonprofit organization. The primary owners, managers, and operators of each member league and of the association are women skaters, although this does not preclude any particular business structure (leagues don't have to be legally incorporated or internally egalitarian). Roller derby is a roller skating contact sport played by two teams of fifteen members. Roller derby is played by approximately 1,250 amateur leagues worldwide, mostly in the United States. Game play consists of a series of short scrimmages (jams) in which both teams designate a jammer (who uniquely wears a star on the helmet) and four blockers to skate counter-clockwise around a track. The Women's Flat Track Derby Association Apprentice is the program affiliate of the Women's Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA). In operation from 2009 until early 2019, the Apprentice Program served to onboard new member leagues into the WFTDA. In February 2019, the WFTDA announced it was retiring the program, to be replaced with a new "New Member Program" in the near future. WSPD (1370 AM) is a commercial radio station licensed to Toledo, Ohio. It broadcasts a talk radio format and is owned by iHeartMedia, Inc. The radio studios and offices are located in downtown Toledo at Superior and Lafayette Streets. By day, WSPD is powered at 5,000 watts, using a non-directional antenna. But to avoid interfering with other stations on 1370 AM, at night it switches to a directional signal with a three-tower array.
