Radio Tirol
Radio Tirol is the regional radio for Tyrol and the German-speaking population of South Tyrol, and is part of the Österreich 2 group. It is broadcast by the ORF, and the programmes from Radio Tirol are made in the ORF Tirol Studio. History The first radio broadcasting tryouts in Tyrol started in 1926 in Aldrans close to Innsbruck. The history of the ORF Tirol Studio reaches back to the 1945 built "''Sendergruppe West''. This group had 2 studios, one in Tyrol and one in Vorarlberg. In 1952 the transmitters were handed over to the state government of Tyrol. The program was mixed, from news and information shows to classical music, radio dramas and other features. Tyrol (; german: Tirol ; it, Tirolo) is a state (''Land'') in western Austria. It comprises the Austrian part of the historical Princely County of Tyrol. It is a constituent part of the present-day Euroregion Tyrol–South Tyrol–Trentino (together with South Tyrol and Trentino in Italy). The capital of Tyrol is Innsbruck. ORF (broadcaster)
('Austrian Broadcasting Corporation'; ORF) is an Austrian national public broadcaster. Funded from a combination of television licence fee revenue and limited on-air advertising, ORF is the dominant player in the Austrian broadcast media. Austria was the last country in continental Europe after Albania to allow nationwide private television broadcasting, although commercial TV channels from neighbouring Germany have been present in Austria on pay-TV and via terrestrial overspill since the 1980s. Aldrans
Aldrans is a municipality in the Innsbruck-Land District, Tyrol (Austria) at an altitude of , which had an area of and 2,496 inhabitants as January 2015. Geography The village is on a highlands terrace southeast of Innsbruck, crossed by numerous river valleys, below the Patscherkofel (). Aldrans is on the ancient salt road, which connected Hall in Tirol and Mühlbachl—now the regional road Landesstraße L 38 (Elbögener Straße); the road L 32 (Innsbrucker Straße) connects the village with Innsbruck. Innsbruck
Innsbruck (; bar, Innschbruck, label=Austro-Bavarian ) is the capital of Tyrol and the fifth-largest city in Austria. Vorarlberg
Vorarlberg ( , ; gsw, label= Vorarlbergisch, Vorarlbearg, , or ) is the westernmost state () of Austria. It has the second-smallest geographical area after Vienna and, although it also has the second-smallest population, it is the state with the second-highest population density (also after Vienna). It borders three countries: Germany (Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg via Lake Constance), Switzerland (Grisons and St. Gallen), and Liechtenstein.
