Radio Klasik FM
Radio Klasik, formerly known as Radio 1 National Service, is the oldest Malay language radio station. Operated by Radio Televisyen Malaysia, it first broadcast on 1 April 1946 as Radio Malaya. Its main motto is ''Menggamit Kenangan'' (Reaching Memories). The station primarily plays classic hits, easy listening, and oldies from the 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s. It is similar to and related to Warna 94.2FM in Singapore and Sinar in Malaysia, targeting listeners aged 50 and above. Radio Klasik broadcasts 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, a service it began offering on 19 January 1971. History The station first broadcast as Radio Malaya on 1 April 1946 from George Town, Penang. Easy Listening
Easy listening (including mood music) is a popular music genre and radio format that was most popular during the 1950s to the 1970s. It is related to middle of the road (MOR) music and encompasses instrumental recordings of standards, hit songs, non- rock vocals and instrumental covers of selected popular rock songs. It mostly concentrates on music that pre-dates the rock and roll era, characteristically on music from the 1940s and 1950s. It was differentiated from the mostly instrumental beautiful music format by its variety of styles, including a percentage of vocals, arrangements and tempos to fit various parts of the broadcast day. Genting Highlands
Genting Highlands is a hill station located on the peak of Mount Ulu Kali in the Titiwangsa Mountains, central Peninsular Malaysia, at 1800 metres elevation. Located in the state of Pahang, it was established in 1965 by the late Malaysian businessman Lim Goh Tong. The primary tourist attraction is Resorts World Genting, a hill resort where casinos and theme parks are situated and where gambling is permitted. Many of Pahang's skyscrapers can be found here.
