Radek Pilař
Radek Pilař (23 April 1931 – 7 February 1993) was a Czech artist. He is best known as a children's book illustrator and animator, but he was also a graphic artist, painter, filmmaker and film director. His most famous works include the images of popular fictional character of Rumcajs. Pilař is recognized as the founder of Czech video art and the founder of the Department of Animated Film at Film and TV School of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague. Biography Radek Pilař was born on 23 April 1931 in Písek. From childhood he was fascinated by the camera and visual arts. He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts, Prague where he studied with Professor Vlastimil Rada. Karl Radek
Karl Berngardovich Radek (; 31 October 1885 – 19 May 1939) was a revolutionary and writer active in the Polish and German social democratic movements before World War I and a Communist International leader in the Soviet Union after the Russian Revolution. Radek was born to a Jewish family in Lviv, Lemberg, Austria-Hungary. He joined the Social Democracy of the Kingdom of Poland and Lithuania and took part in the Russian Revolution of 1905, 1905 Russian Revolution in Congress Poland. Two years later he was forced to flee to Germany, where he worked as a journalist for the Social Democratic Party of Germany. After the outbreak of World War I, Radek relocated to Switzerland and became an associate of Vladimir Lenin. Atlantis () is a fictional island mentioned in Plato's works '' Timaeus'' and ''Critias'' as part of an allegory on the hubris of nations. In the story, Atlantis is described as a naval empire that ruled all Western parts of the known world, making it the literary counter-image of the Achaemenid Empire. After an ill-fated attempt to conquer "Ancient Athens," Atlantis falls out of favor with the deities and submerges into the Atlantic Ocean. Radek Štěpánek
Radek Štěpánek (; born 27 November 1978) is a Czech former professional tennis player. His career-high singles ranking was world No. 8 and best doubles ranking was world No. 4. Štěpánek's biggest achievements are reaching two Masters 1000 event finals and the quarterfinals of Wimbledon in 2006, as well as winning the deciding match for Czech Republic's Davis Cup winning team in 2012 and again in 2013. Radek Smoleňák (born December 3, 1986) is a Czech professional ice hockey winger. He is currently playing with the Rytíři Kladno of the Czech Extraliga. Smoleňák was selected by the Tampa Bay Lightning in the 3rd round (73rd overall) of the 2005 NHL Entry Draft.
