Rabiah Ibn Kab
Rabiah ibn Kab was a Sahaba, companion of Muhammad. Biography He was a poor man from the tribe of Banu Aslam and he converted to Islam at an early age, requesting of his own accord to be a servant of Muhammad so as to be in his company as much as possible. He resided in ''Suffah'' of the mosque with other poor Muslims, who were called the ''"guests of Islam"'' and received charity from Muhammad. Muhammad arrived in Madina on Friday, 12th of Rabiul Awwal, 1AH. The first task upon his arrival was the construction of Muhammad’s mosque- at the site of the camel’s kneeling. The site belonged to two orphan boys- it was previously a graveyard of the polytheists. The Muslims began the construction of the Mosque (Masjidun Nabi). The mosque contained Muhammad's house. Rabia Balkhi
Rabia Balkhi (, ) also known as Rabia al-Quzdari (or Khuzdari), was a 10th-century writer who composed poetry in Persian and Arabic. She is the first known female poet to write in Persian. A non- mystic poet, her imagery was later transformed into that of a mystic poet by authors such as Attar of Nishapur (died 1221) and Jami (died 1492). She became a semi-legendary figure, famous for her love story with the slave Bektash. Her shrine is located in the mausoleum of the 15th-century Naqshbandi Sufi Khwaja Abu Nasr Parsa (died 1460) in the city of Balkh, now present-day Afghanistan. She is celebrated in the Balochistan province of Pakistan, Afghanistan and Iran through various schools, hospitals, and roads being named after her. Sarab Abu-Rabia-Queder (Arabic: سراب أبو ربيعة قادر; born September 5, 1976) is an Israeli-Arab sociologist, anthropologist, and feminist activist with a specialty in gender studies. She is the first Bedouin woman in Israel to receive a doctorate, and to be promoted to associate professor. Cheikha Rabia is an Algerian singer. Early life She was born in Relizane (near Oran) in Algeria in 1944, a city near Oran. Rabia is the daughter of a barber (a veteran of World War I) and a seamstress from Kabylie. She began singing at 11 years old after discovering the traditional female Algerian singers called "Meddehates", who traditionally sing songs of lust and primarily performed in rural celebrations for an exclusively female audience.
