Radiation Therapy
Radiation therapy or radiotherapy (RT, RTx, or XRT) is a therapy, treatment using ionizing radiation, generally provided as part of treatment of cancer, cancer therapy to either kill or control the growth of malignancy, malignant cell (biology), cells. It is normally delivered by a linear particle accelerator. Radiation therapy may be cure, curative in a number of types of cancer if they are localized to one area of the body, and have not metastasis, spread to other parts. It may also be used as part of adjuvant therapy, to prevent tumor recurrence after surgery to remove a primary malignant tumor (for example, early stages of breast cancer). Radiation therapy is synergistic with chemotherapy, and has been used before, during, and after chemotherapy in susceptible cancers. The subspecialty of oncology concerned with radiotherapy is called radiation oncology. A physician who practices in this subspecialty is a radiation oncologist. Radiation therapy is commonly applied to the canc ...

Rituximab
Rituximab, sold under the brand name Rituxan among others, is a monoclonal antibody medication used to treat certain autoimmune diseases and types of cancer. It is used for non-Hodgkin lymphoma, chronic lymphocytic leukemia (in children and adults, but not recommended in elderly patients), rheumatoid arthritis, granulomatosis with polyangiitis, idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura, pemphigus vulgaris, myasthenia gravis and Epstein–Barr virus-positive mucocutaneous ulcers. It is given by slow intravenous infusion (injected slowly through an IV line). The most common side effects with intravenous infusions are reactions related to the infusion (such as fever, chills and shivering) while most common serious side effects are infusion reactions, infections and heart-related problems. Similar side effects are seen when it is injected under the skin, with the exception of reactions around the injections site (pain, swelling and rash), which occur more frequently with the skin inject ...

RTX2010
The Harris Semiconductor RTX 2000, now manufactured by Intersil, is a 16-bit stack machine microprocessor architecture designed for real-time computing and programmed primarily in Forth. Radiation hardened versions, the RTX 2010 series, have been used in numerous spacecraft. The original design was created by Chuck Moore, the inventor of the Forth language. In 1983 he formed Novix to design a microprocessor that could directly run the language. The NC4000 was released in June 1985, and soon renamed the NC4016. This ran at 7.5 MHz and up to 10  MIPS. An updated version, the NC5016, ran at 10 MHz and 12 MIPS, and a planned NC6016 appears not to have entered production, and Novix shut down during this period. Harris licensed the original 4016 design shortly after it was introduced, modified it, and introduced the resulting RTX line, short for "Real Time eXpress". They added several features, including on-chip cache memory, a multiple/divide unit and program memo ...

RTX Toxin
The RTX toxin superfamily is a group of cytolysins and cytotoxins produced by bacteria. There are over 1000 known members with a variety of functions. The RTX family is defined by two common features: characteristic repeats in the toxin protein sequences, and extracellular secretion by the type I secretion systems (T1SS). The name RTX (repeats in toxin) refers to the glycine and aspartate-rich repeats located at the C-terminus of the toxin proteins, which facilitate export by a dedicated T1SS encoded within the ''rtx'' operon. Structure and function RTX proteins range from 40 to over 600 kDa in size and all contain C-terminally located glycine and aspartate-rich repeat sequences of nine amino acids. The repeats contain the common sequence structure , (where X represents any amino acid), but the number of repeats varies within RTX protein family members. These consensus regions function as sites for Ca2+ binding, which facilitate folding of the RTX protein following export via ...

Ray Tracing (graphics)
In 3D computer graphics, ray tracing is a technique for modeling Light transport theory, light transport for use in a wide variety of Rendering (computer graphics), rendering algorithms for generating digital image, digital images. On a spectrum of Computation time, computational cost and visual fidelity, ray tracing-based rendering techniques, such as ray casting, #Recursive ray tracing algorithm, recursive ray tracing, Distributed ray tracing, distribution ray tracing, photon mapping and path tracing, are generally slower and higher fidelity than scanline rendering methods. Thus, ray tracing was first deployed in applications where taking a relatively long time to render could be tolerated, such as still computer-generated imagery, CGI images, and film and television visual effects (VFX), but was less suited to real-time computer graphics, real-time applications such as video games, where Frame rate, speed is critical in rendering each Film frame, frame. Since 2018, however, ...

Nvidia RTX
Nvidia RTX (also known as Nvidia GeForce RTX under the GeForce brand) is a professional visual computing platform created by Nvidia, used in mainstream PCs for gaming as well as being used in workstations for designing complex large-scale models in architecture and product design, scientific visualization, energy exploration, and film and video production (especially under the RTX PRO and formerly Quadro RTX brands). Nvidia RTX features hardware-enabled real-time ray tracing. Historically, ray tracing had been reserved to non- real time applications (like CGI in visual effects for movies and in photorealistic renderings), with video games having to rely on direct lighting and precalculated indirect contribution for their rendering. RTX facilitates a new development in computer graphics of generating interactive images that react to lighting, shadows and reflections. RTX runs on Nvidia Volta-, Turing-, Ampere-, Ada Lovelace- and Blackwell-based GPUs, specifically utiliz ...

Ring Tone Transfer Language
Ring Tone Text Transfer Language (RTTTL) is a text-based format that was developed by Nokia to be used to transfer ringtones to Nokia cellphones. The RTTTL format is a string divided into three sections: name, default value, and data. The ''name'' section consists of a string describing the name of the ringtone. It can be no longer than 10 characters, and cannot contain a colon ":" character. (However, since the Smart Messaging specification allows names up to 15 characters in length, some applications processing RTTTL also do so.) The ''default value'' section is a set of values separated by commas, where each value contains a key and a value separated by an ''='' character, which describes certain defaults which should be adhered to during the execution of the ringtone. Possible names are * d - duration * o - octave * b - beat, tempo The ''data'' section consists of a set of character strings separated by commas, where each string contains a ''duration'', ''pitch'', ''octav ...
