Radio Televisyen Malaysia (, Jawi: ; abbreviated as RTM, stylised as rtm), also known as the Department of Broadcasting, Malaysia (; Jawi: ) is the national public broadcaster of Malaysia, headquartered at Angkasapuri, Kuala Lumpur. Established on 1 April 1946 as Radio Malaya, it is the first and the oldest broadcaster in the country. After Malaysia was formed on 16 September 1963, Radio Malaya was renamed Radio Malaysia. On 28 December that year, television service in Malaysia began with the establishment of Televisyen Malaysia. RTM came into its current state with its present name in 1969 when it merged its radio and television services to form the present-day broadcast department. As of 2021, RTM employs over 4,000 staff in total, of whom approximately 2,000 are in public-sector broadcasting, including part-time, flexible as well as fixed contract staff. Angkasapuri
Angkasapuri is the main governmental building for Malaysia's Ministry of Information and it is also the headquarters for Radio Television Malaysia (RTM) located in Lembah Pantai, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. History Pre-Angkasapuri (1946–1968) Radio Radio Televisyen Malaysia, RTM was established as Radio Malaya operating out of Singapore on 1 April 1946. Upon Independence Day (Malaysia), Malayan independence in 1957, RTM was split into two stations, with MediaCorp, Radio Singapura taking over in Singapore while Radio Malaya moved to Federal House, Victory Avenue, Kuala Lumpur, going on air from the new location on 1 January 1959. Radio Malaya became Radio Malaysia on Malaysia Day, 16 September 1963 upon the formation of Malaysia. TV3 (Malaysian TV Network)
Sistem Televisyen Malaysia Berhad, operating as TV3 (pronounced as ''Tivi Tiga''), is a Bangsar-based Mass media in Malaysia, Malaysian free-to-air television channel owned by Malaysian media conglomerate, Media Prima. TV3 is the third oldest TV station in Malaysia. It was launched on 1 June 1984 as the country's first and oldest private television channel. As of October 2021, TV3 remains to be the most-watched television station in Malaysia with about 17% of its viewing share among other Malaysian television stations, followed by TV9 (Malaysian TV network), TV9 with 15% of its viewing share, making two of them become the second most-watched television station in the country, despite the declining viewership of 3 free-to-air television channels. Caldecott Hill
Caldecott Hill is a private housing estate, located along Thomson Road in the Central Region of Singapore. The estate is served by Caldecott MRT station, on both the Circle and Thomson-East Coast MRT lines. Penang
Penang is a Malaysian state located on the northwest coast of Peninsular Malaysia along the Strait of Malacca.
