RTL Telekids
RTL Telekids is a Dutch pay television kids channel owned by RTL Nederland. In addition, RTL Telekids was broadcast as a youth-oriented block on RTL 8 in the daytime until 31 December 2020. Like the rest of the Dutch RTL network, RTL Telekids is officially a Luxembourgish channel that does not have to adhere to Dutch broadcasting laws. History On December 31, 2020, RTL Telekids was closed as a block. Youth block On 19 August 2010 RTL announced that the name RTL Telekids would be used for a new youth block on RTL 8. A big difference with the former programme Telekids is that the broadcast is no longer done by a presenter from the studio. Originally RTL Telekids would start on 4 October 2010. RTL 8
RTL 8 is a Dutch free-to-cable television channel that was launched on 18 August 2007 replacing Tien, previously known as Talpa. RTL 8's main target audience consists of women. It broadcasts soap operas, talk shows, films and reruns of programmes from its sister RTL channels. In the mornings and late afternoons children's channel RTL Telekids is broadcasting on RTL 8. Officially RTL 5 - along with RTL 4, RTL 7 and RTL 8 - is headquartered in Hilversum, broadcasting with a Luxembourg TV license. RTL Z is a Dutch free-to-cable business and financial news television channel. It displays economic changes and the stock exchange news in a banner at the bottom of the screen in the daytime. Telekids
''Telekids'' is a Dutch children's television programme showing on the RTL 4 channel from 1989 to 1999 and since 2010 on RTL 8. The show first aired on 2 October 1989 at 6:25pm, after the six o'clock news. Initially only Irene Moors presented the program and it was broadcast every day. To add even more strength, Carlo Boszhard joined in 1993, after which the program's popularity increased. From then on, ''Telekids'' was broadcast live every Saturday morning between 7am and 12 noon. Later all cartoons were pushed back to the start, causing the studio program to start at 9 am. In the early days ''Telekids'' was co-hosted by Manon Thomas, Marc Postelmans and Caroline Tensen.
