RTL District
RTL District is a Belgian television channel specialized in true crime programming (reality shows and criminal television series) with seven hours of new programming a day; it is the first Walloon channel to launch in five years. History On 6 November 2024, RTL Belgium announced the launch of its fourth channel, RTL District, with the launch date set for 18 November at 16:30. The channel was made available on the five main providers (Proximus, Base TV, Telenet, Orange TV and VOO) from launch. The channel was created due to years of demand for an all-crime network, as the programmes attract a high number of viewers on the main channel. 720p (720 lines progressive) is a progressive HD signal format with 720 horizontal lines/1280 columns and an aspect ratio (AR) of 16:9, normally known as widescreen HD (1.78:1). All major HD broadcasting standards (such as SMPTE 292M) include a 720p format, which has a resolution of 1280×720. The number ''720'' stands for the 720 horizontal scan lines of image display resolution (also known as 720 pixels of vertical resolution). The ''p'' stands for progressive scan, i.e. non-interlaced. RTL-TVI is a private French-language, Belgian-based television station owned by DPG Media and Groupe Rossel, it was originally owned by the RTL Group until 31 March 2022. RTL Club is a French-language Belgian television channel based in Brussels and owned by DPG Media and Groupe Rossel, it was originally owned by RTL Group until 31 March 2022. The channel is transmitted in Belgium and Luxembourg. The channel is targeted to young audiences in the morning and to adults in primetime. Its programming consists of cartoons and children’s series and cartoons in the morning and sports and American series in the evening. Until 28 March 2023, the channel was known as Club RTL. On 1 February 2016, the channel ceased airing its main animated series ''The Simpsons'' due to low ratings (2% share), whose French dub has been airing on the series for twenty years. RTL Plug is a general Belgian French speaking commercial television channel for Belgium and Luxembourg and targeting adolescents and young people (15-34 age bracket). The station is particularly popular in francophone parts of Belgium (Wallonia and Brussels), but also somewhat in Flanders, the Dutch-speaking region of Belgium as well.
