RK Kolubara
RK Kolubara () is a Serbian handball club based in Lazarevac. They compete in the Serbian Handball Super B League. History The club was founded in 1960. They made their Serbian Handball Super League debut in its inaugural 2006–07 season. The club subsequently finished as runners-up twice in a row (2007–08 and 2008–09). They would win their first trophy by capturing the Serbian Cup in May 2009. In the next 2009–10 season, the club successfully defended the national cup and secured its first ever national championship. They also participated in the EHF Cup Winners' Cup (2009–10 and 2010–11), EHF Challenge Cup (2007–08 and 2011–12) and EHF Cup ( 2008–09). COVID-19 Pandemic In Serbia
The COVID-19 pandemic in Serbia is a current outbreak of the disease COVID-19 in Serbia caused by the virus SARS-CoV-2. Its first case in Serbia was reported on 6 March 2020, and confirmed by Minister of Health Zlatibor Lončar. The case was a 43-year-old man from Bačka Topola who had travelled to Budapest. In late June 2020, the Balkan Insight published a report based on the allegedly leaked data from the internal Government COVID-19 information system. This report stated that in reality, Serbia had recorded 632 deaths due to COVID-19 in the period from 19 March to 1 June 2020, which corresponds to 388 additional deaths caused by the virus that were not publicly reported. Additionally, according to the leaked data, the number of people who became infected in Serbia from 17 June to 20 June was at least 300 per day, while public reports never accounted for more than 96 cases per day in the same period. Nenad Puljezević
Nenad Puljezević (, ; born 13 March 1973) is a Serbian-Hungarian former handball player. Club career Puljezević made his professional debut with Crvena zvezda and spent two seasons with the club (1992–1994). He would also play for two years at Partizan (1994–1996), before returning to Crvena zvezda for another two seasons (1996–1998). Between 1998 and 2002, Puljezević played with Lovćen, helping the club win back-to-back championships in 2000 and 2001. In 2002, Puljezević moved abroad to Hungary and joined Pick Szeged, spending the next seven years with the club. He subsequently returned to his homeland and briefly played for Kolubara. In late 2009, Puljezević moved to Germany and joined TSV Hannover-Burgdorf. He decided to retire after the 2012–13 season. Handball (also known as team handball, European handball or Olympic handball) is a team sport in which two teams of seven players each (six outcourt players and a goalkeeper) pass a ball using their hands with the aim of throwing it into the goal of the other team. A standard match consists of two periods of 30 minutes, and the team that scores more goals wins. Modern handball is played on a court of , with a goal in the middle of each end. The goals are surrounded by a zone where only the defending goalkeeper is allowed; goals must be scored by throwing the ball from outside the zone or while "diving" into it. The European Handball Federation (EHF) is the umbrella organisation for European handball. Founded on 17 November 1991, it is made of 50 member federations and two associated federations (England and Scotland), and is headquartered in Vienna, Austria. Nedeljko Jovanović
Nedeljko Jovanović (; born 16 September 1970) is a Serbian former handball player and current coach. Club career After playing for Metaloplastika, Jovanović joined Partizan in 1991. He proved instrumental in helping the club win its first ever national championship in the 1992–93 season. Subsequently, Jovanović moved abroad and played for two seasons in Spain with Elgorriaga Bidasoa ( 1993–94) and Teka Cantabria ( 1994–95). In 1995, Jovanović switched to Germany and signed with OSC 04 Rheinhausen. He also played for TV Niederwürzbach, TUSEM Essen and SG Hameln in the Handball-Bundesliga. Momir Ilić (; born 22 December 1981) is a Serbian former handball player. He became the first player in the history of the EHF Champions League to score over 100 goals in three consecutive seasons. Currently he is the head coach of Telekom Veszprém. Nemanja Pribak (, ; born 26 March 1984) is a Serbian-born Macedonian handball player for Hapoel Rishon LeZion (handball), Hapoel Rishon LeZion. Šandor Hodik
Šandor Hodik (, ; born 21 September 1965) is a Serbian-Macedonian handball player of ethnic Hungarian descent. Club career Over the course of his career that spanned over 35 years, Hodik played for numerous teams, most notably Pelister. He also had multiple spells at both Jugović and Vojvodina. After playing for Sloga Doboj of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Hodik returned to Serbia and helped Kolubara win the national cup in the 2008–09 season.
