The R772 road is a regional road in Ireland which comprises disconnected sections of road which once formed part of the N11 but which have now been by-passed, joined together by some new road sections and some former local roads. Route (sections) # The first part of the R772 starts at J12 (Newtownmountkennedy North) on the N11. The route travels through the main street of Newtownmountkennedy, then on to Killadeernan and Newcastle Hospital. This route was the original R772. The road then travels southwest and then east up and down hill via existing single track local roads. The route then goes under the present N11 to Coynes Cross. The road follows the old N11 to Ashford, where it connects to the R764 at a roundabout in the village centre. N11 Road (Ireland)
The N11 road is a national primary road in Ireland, running for along the east side of Ireland from Dublin to Wexford. It passes close to Bray, Greystones, Wicklow, Arklow, Gorey, and Enniscorthy. Beyond Wexford, the route continues to Rosslare as the N25. The road forms part of European route E01. As of July 2019 the N11/M11 is of dual carriageway or motorway standard from Dublin as far as Oilgate in County Wexford. The road is a busy commuter route, being the only dual carriageway passing through the south eastern suburbs of Dublin, as well as close to the many commuter towns along the east coast as far south as Gorey. Enniscorthy () is the second-largest town in County Wexford, Ireland. At the 2016 census, the population of the town and environs was 11,381. The town is located on the picturesque River Slaney and in close proximity to the Blackstairs Mountains and Ireland's longest beach, Curracloe. The town is twinned with Gimont, France. A bypass is a road or highway that avoids or "bypasses" a built-up area, town, or village, to let through traffic flow without interference from local traffic, to reduce congestion in the built-up area, and to improve road safety.
