R43 Expressway (Czech Republic)
D43 motorway (), formerly Expressway R43 () is a highway in the Czech Republic. If completed, it will connect cities Brno and Moravská Třebová, and the D1 motorway with the D35 motorway. First project in that route was created after Munich Agreement by Nazi Germany, as an ex-territorial Autobahn A88 Breslau - Wien, passing through territory of The Second Republic of Czechoslovakia with custom houses on all exits. Construction began in April 1939, during German occupation of Czechoslovakia and was halted on 73 km of route in April 1942 due to the increasing demands of World War II. After war construction was not resumed, whole route was abandoned. In 1980s a modern plan for R43 was set up and first 7 km long segment from Brno to north was built. R43 (South Africa)
The R43 is a provincial route in the Western Cape province of South Africa which connects Ceres with Gansbaai via Worcester, Botrivier and Hermanus. It is co-signed with the N2 for nine kilometres near Botrivier. Route The R43 begins at a T-junction on the R46 between Ceres and Wolseley, situated at the southwestern entrance to Michell's Pass. It runs southwards for 39 kilometres, following the Breede River, to reach Worcester, where it cosigns with the N1 eastwards for a kilometre before heading southwards through the town centre. From Worcester, it heads south for 50 kilometres, bypassing the Brandvlei Dam, to Villiersdorp, where it meets the south-western terminus of the R45. It continues southwards for 30 kilometres to meet the N2 at a T-junction.
