R.C. Hedreen
Richard Castle Hedreen (born April 15, 1935) is an Americans, American property developer and art collector based in Seattle, Washington. He is chairman of R.C. Hedreen Co., which he founded in 1963. R.C. Hedreen Co. has built the Coast Seattle Downtown Hotel by APA, Seattle Hilton, the Grand Hyatt, the Madison Renaissance Hotel, the Olive 8, the Hyatt Regency Seattle and other List of tallest buildings in Seattle, Seattle skyscrapers. On March 13, 2024, Seattle University announced that Hedreen would be donating his entire art collection, valued at $300 million, to the university to create the Seattle University Museum of Art. The Hedreen gift is considered to be the largest gift of art ever made to a university.
