R.A.A. Louviéroise
R.A.A. Louviéroise, sometimes referred to as La Louvière or RAAL, was a Belgian football club located in the city of La Louvière, in the province of Hainaut. It had been playing its latest run in the Belgian First Division from 2000–01 to 2005–06 included. Two players have been called to the Belgium national football team while at La Louvière: Guy Dardenne (6 caps when at La Louvière, 11 caps in all) and Silvio Proto (5 caps when at La Louvière). The matricule of the club was the number 93. In June 2009, it merged with R.A.C.S. Couillet to form Football Couillet La Louvière. This club has since 2017 been named RAAL La Louvière. Ye Zheyun is a Chinese businessman who was accused of being involved in a Belgian football corruption and betting scandal that took place in 2005. It was alleged that several teams and/or players received money from Ye to influence match results, so corrupt bookmakers could be certain of a gambling profit. Gilbert Bodart
Gilbert Bodart (born 2 September 1962) is a Belgian football manager and former player. Playing career Bodart was born in Ougrée, Belgium. A goalkeeper, he played a long time with Standard Liège. Bodart also played 12 times with Belgium from 1986 to 1995. In 1996 the goalkeeper moved to the French team of Girondins de Bordeaux. He played few matches with the national team as he was in competition with Jean-Marie Pfaff and then with Michel Preud'homme. Bodart was nevertheless part of the team in the 1986 World Cup of which Belgium reached the semifinals. He collected 12 caps in 55 selections. Belgian Third Division
The Belgian Third Division ( nl, Derde klasse, french: Division III) was the third highest level in Belgian football. It had two leagues of 18 teams each ( A and B) at the same level. This competition, originally known as the Belgian Promotion ( nl, Bevordering) was first played in the 1926-27 season with three leagues, then with four leagues between 1931 and 1952. From 1952 on, only two leagues remained and the competition was named the Third Division. Originally set to 16 clubs, the number of clubs in each division was increased in 2009 to 18 clubs. At the end of the regular season, both league winners promoted to the second division and a play-off was played to determine a possible third club to promote.
