Gameplay Four contestants, already renowned for their mastery of the question/answer format, challenge each other for the title of QuizMaster and a potential prize pool of $1,000,000. Simon Reeve (Australian TV Presenter)
Simon Reeve (born 6 September 1961) is an Australian television presenter and journalist, best known for his association with the Seven Network. Reeve was previously the sport presenter on '' Weekend Sunrise ''and the host of '' Million Dollar Minute'' and ''It's Academic''. Career Reeve commenced his career at Channel 7 in Perth, Western Australia in 1979, working as a sports producer and reporter. In 1982, he moved to London to take up a position with Vis News. Reeve returned to Australia in 1984 and joined Western Australian current affairs program ''State Affair'' and also worked on sports program ''What a Week''. At that time he won a Penguin Award for a human interest report and was involved in the commentary team for TVW's host broadcast of the America's Cup defence in 1987. The Seven Network (commonly known as Channel Seven or simply Seven) is a major Australian commercial free-to-air television network. It is owned by Seven West Media Limited, and is one of five main free-to-air television networks in Australia. The network's headquarters are located in Sydney. As of 2014, it is the second-largest network in the country in terms of population reach. The Seven Network shows various nonfiction shows—such as news broadcasts ('' Seven News'') and sports programing—as well as fiction shows. In 2011, the network won all 40 out of 40 weeks of the ratings season for total viewers, being the first to achieve this since the introduction of the OzTAM ratings system in 2001. ''The Sunday Mail'' is a newspaper published on Sunday in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. It is Brisbane's only Sunday newspaper. ''The Sunday Mail'' is published in tabloid format, comprising several sections that can be extracted and read separately. The ''Gold Coast Bulletin'' is a daily newspaper serving Australia's Gold Coast region. It is published as ''The Gold Coast Bulletin'' on weekdays and the ''Weekend Bulletin'' at weekends. It is owned by News Corp Australia. History The newspaper has undergone a number of masthead and ownership changes. When Patrick Joseph McNamara started the paper in 1885, he worked in a tin shed on Southport's Lawson Street. He named the paper ''The Southern Queensland Bulletin'', and it was the first newspaper published in Southport. McNamara was succeeded by Mr Shepherd and Mr Mellor. In the 1890s, the broadsheet was renamed to ''The Logan and Albert Bulletin'', and kept this name until 1928. Christopher Mark Ibbotson-Price (21 September 1967 – 21 April 2002) was an English journalist and presenter, who was best known as the original host of BBC celebrity news show ''Liquid News''. Early life Price was born in Norfolk on 21 September 1967 and was adopted shortly afterwards. In his early days, he attended Worth School, a Roman Catholic boarding school in Sussex. After school, he studied Italian at the University of Reading. However, he left university with the desire to become a journalist – he enrolled into the BBC reporter training scheme in 1991. Career Once completed, Price pursued his desire and in 1993, he became a reporter on Radio Berkshire – soon to move to Radio Solent.
