Quit is an American pop punk band from Miami, Florida, United States, formed in 1988. The band was founded by Andre Serafini, Russell Mofsky, Antonio Rocha and Addison Burns. Quit has released one studio album and been on numerous compilations and one DVD compilation. Quit released ''Earlier Thoughts'' in 1990 when most of the members were 18 and 19 years old. Quit has played shows with Green Day, Helmet, and Fugazi. Quit has recorded over four full-length albums of material. History Quit was part of the late 1980s to mid 1990s Miami music scene and local punk music scene. Band members hung out at skate ramps, surfed, and went to local shows and house parties mainly in one southern part of Miami. "Quitter" is a song recorded by Canadian singer-songwriter Cameron Whitcomb. He wrote the track with Nolan Sipe, Ben Cottrill, and David Schaeman, the latter of whom produced the track. The song is the title track and lead single off Whitcomb's 2024 extended play ''Quitter'', released via Atlantic Records. Background Whitcomb wrote the song while on a trip to write with Nolan Sipe, Ben Cottrill and David Schaeman in Los Angeles. ''Quit!!'' is the third studio album by American singer-songwriter Hardy. It was released on July 12, 2024, through Big Loud Rock. It features guest appearances from Chad Smith of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Knox, Fred Durst, Hank Williams III, and David Allan Coe. Background Hardy recorded ''Quit!!'' with long-time collaborator and producer Joey Moi and sees the singer-songwriter further exploring his rock-influenced sound. ''Quitting'' () is a 2001 Chinese drama (film and television), drama film directed by Zhang Yang (director), Zhang Yang, starring and based on the true life story of Jia Hongsheng. Jia, an actor and former drug addiction, drug addict, battled his addiction to marijuana and heroin for five years from 1992 to 1997. All members of the cast, from Jia and Jia's family members right down to the doctors and patients at a mental institute Jia was admitted to, are real people playing themselves. Background and content The title comes from a napkin Hardy found after a show with the word "quit!" on it in Nashville, Tennessee. He used that discouragement as fuel, then coming into his own as an artist.
