Quiroga (TransMilenio)
The simple station Quiroga is part of the TransMilenio mass-transit system of Bogotá, Colombia, opened in 2000. Location The station is located in southern Bogotá, specifically on Avenida Caracas with Calles 32 and 33 sur. History At the beginning of 2001, the second phase of the Caracas line of the system was opened from Tercer Milenio to the intermediate station Calle 40 Sur. A few months later, service was extended south to Portal de Usme. The station is named Quiroga due to its proximity to the neighborhood of Quiroga . In 2004, two passengers died and two others injured by an explosion of four kilograms of ammonal. Quiroga is a municipality in the Mexican state of Michoacán. The municipal seat of Quiroga is also called Quiroga. Geography The municipality of Quiroga is located at the north of the State, at coordinates 19° 40 'N latitude and 101° 32' west. At an altitude of 2080 meters above sea level. Quiroga () is a municipality in the province of Lugo, in the autonomous community of Galicia, Spain. It is the capital of the comarca A ''comarca'' (, , , ) is a traditional region or local administrative division found in Portugal, Spain, and some of their former colonies, like Brazil, Nicaragua, and Panama. The term is derived from the term ''marca'', meaning a "march, mark ... of Quiroga. The south side of Quiroga is bordered by the river Sil. The main economic activities are agriculture which is mostly grapes and olives, animal breeding and mining. Quiroga Ridge
Quiroga Ridge (, 'Hrebet Quiroga' \'hre-bet ki-'ro-ga\) is a submarine ridge in False Bay, Livingston Island in the South Shetland Islands of Antarctica. It extends 2.2 km in an east-southeast to west-northwest direction between Ogosta Point on the Rozhen Peninsula and the opposite coast of Hurd Peninsula at a depth of over 50 m, with depths exceeding 100 m on both sides of the ridge. It was formed as a frontal moraine of Huntress Glacier between the 13th and 17th centuries. The feature is named after Víctor Quiroga Martínez, captain of the Spanish ocean exploration ship '' BIO Hespérides'' that rendered logistic support to the Bulgarian Antarctic campaigns in the 1990s.
