Torres Novas () is a Portugal, Portuguese Concelho, municipality in the district of Santarém (district), Santarém, in the Médio Tejo Subregion, Médio Tejo of the Oeste e Vale do Tejo region. 1998–99 Taça De Portugal
The 1998–99 Taça de Portugal was the 59th edition of the Portuguese football knockout tournament, organized by the Portuguese Football Federation (FPF). The 1998–99 Taça de Portugal began in September 1998. The final was played on 19 June 1999 at the Estádio Nacional. Porto were the previous holders, having defeated Braga 3–1 in the previous season's final. Defending champions Porto were eliminated in the fifth round by third division side Torreense. Beira-Mar defeated Campomaiorense, 1–0 in the final to win their first Taça de Portugal. The Taça de Portugal (; ) is an annual association football competition and the premier knockout tournament in Portuguese football. For sponsorship reasons, it has been known as Taça de Portugal Generali Tranquilidade since the 2024–25 season. Organised by the Portuguese Football Federation since it was first held in 1938, the competition is open to professional and amateur clubs from the top-four league divisions. Matches are played from August–September to May–June, and the final is traditionally held at the Estádio Nacional in Oeiras, near Lisbon. The cup winners qualify for the Supertaça Cândido de Oliveira (or the runners-up, in case the winners are also the league champions) and the UEFA Europa League. The Primeira Liga (), also known as Liga Portugal Betclic for sponsorship reasons, is a professional association football league in Portugal and the highest level of the Portuguese football league system. Organised and supervised by the Liga Portugal, it has been contested by 18 teams since the 2014–15 season, with the three lowest-placed teams relegated to the Liga Portugal 2 and replaced by the top-three non-reserve teams from this division.
