Quico (El Chavo Del Ocho)
''El Chavo del Ocho'', often shortened to ''El Chavo'', is a Mexican television sitcom series created by Roberto Gómez Bolaños (Chespirito). The show was based on a series of sketches performed on Gómez's eponymous sketch show, ''Chespirito'', which were first performed in 1971. ''El Chavo'' became its own series in 1973 and aired until 1980, becoming one of the most popular television programs in the world. Following its cancellation and the relaunch of ''Chespirito'', the ''El Chavo'' sketches returned in 1980 and continued to be performed on ''Chespirito'' until 1992 when Gómez, by this point in his sixties, discontinued them due to his advancing age. The show follows the life and tribulations of the title character, a poor orphan child (played by Gómez Bolaños) that lives on a Mexican housing complex, typically called a ''vecindad''. He is accompanied by a cast of neighbors, children, and other characters. All the characters, including the children, were played by adult ...

Federrico
''Federrico'' is a Venezuelan sitcom produced in 1982, starring Carlos Villagrán, Ramón Valdés, Simón García, Maribel Ponte and Nancy Soto. Being carried out by RCTV. in many aspects, the series copied and parodied many of the characteristic characters of El Chavo del Ocho (except Godínez and Doña Cleotilde), adapting them to another type of environment and changing their names. A spin-off of the series was produced in 1983 under the name ''Las nuevas aventuras de Federrico'' ("The new adventures of Federrico"). The Villagrán character was almost identical to '' Quico'', which was his character on ''El Chavo'' series, the only change being the name, due to an ongoing dispute with Chespirito over the character, a pattern repeated with other former Chespirito cast members such as Rubén Aguirre and María Antonieta de las Nieves. Also, Valdéz's character ''Don Moncho'' is identical to ''El Chavos ''Don Ramón,'' although he left the program after only one season. In 2009 ...

Carlos Villagrán
Carlos Villagrán Eslava (born 12 January 1944) is a Mexican actor, comedian, and former journalist best known for playing Quico in the Televisa sitcom ''El Chavo del Ocho''. Life and career Villagrán started off as a photographer for the Mexico City newspaper ''El Heraldo'', with this position leading him to become friends with screenwriter and future co-star Rubén Aguirre. Aguirre had been hired by Chespirito (Roberto Gómez Bolaños) to play the role of Professor Jirafales in the then upcoming ''El Chavo del Ocho'' television series for Televisa. Aguirre held a party for family and friends at his house to celebrate, and Villagrán impressed him after expanding his cheeks out of proportion during one of the party's comic steps. As a matter of a fact, that movement would later become a trademark of the character he'd play in ''El Chavo.'' Aguirre recommended Villagrán to Chespirito, and - impressed by the photographer - Villagrán was given the role of Quico, Chavo's ri ...
