The Quezon Tangerines are a Filipino women's developmental volleyball team based in the province of Quezon. 2024 MPVA Season
The 2024 MPVA season, also referred to as MPVA Season 1, was the first full-length season of the Maharlika Pilipinas Volleyball Association (MPVA) and its second overall. The preliminary round began on August 11, 2024. This season will see two new teams: the Quezon Tangerines and Valenzuela Classy. The Bacoor City Strikers (volleyball), Bacoor City Strikers enter this season as defending champions. Teams This season features nine teams, including two expansion teams. The Valenzuela Classy was first announced on July 10, 2024 while the Quezon Tangerines were announced two weeks later on July 24. Of the eight teams that took part in the 2023 MPVA season, inaugural season, the Nasipit Lady Spikers are the only team that did not return to the league. Volleyball
Volleyball is a team sport in which two teams of six players are separated by a net. Each team tries to score points by grounding a ball on the other team's court under organized rules. Quezon Huskers
The Quezon Huskers are a Filipino professional basketball team based in Lucena, a highly urbanized city in the province of Quezon. The team competes in the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL) as a member of the league's South Division. The team splits its home games between Quezon Convention Center and Lucena Convention Center. The team's first incarnation was the Quezon Coco Huskers of the United Regional Basketball League (URBL). The team ran from 2004 until 2005. The Huskers were then revived as an expansion team for the MPBL's 2023 season alongside the Negros Muscovados. The team also competes Pilipinas Super League (PSL) under the name Quezon Titans. The College of Saint Benilde Lady Blazers are the volleyball team of De La Salle–College of Saint Benilde. History The CSB Lady Blazers first joined NCAA women's volleyball tournament in 1998. They claimed their first NCAA women's volleyball championship in the NCAA Season 91 beating the thrice-to-beat San Sebastian Lady Stags in 4th sets on the do-or-die Game 4 of the NCAA Season 91 finals series.
