Queer (film)
''Queer'' is an upcoming Romance film, romantic Period film, period Dramatic film, drama film directed by Luca Guadagnino from a screenplay by Justin Kuritzkes, based on the 1985 Queer (novel), novel of the same name by William S. Burroughs. Set in 1940s Mexico City, the film follows an outcast American Expatriate, expat who becomes infatuated with a younger man. It stars Daniel Craig and Drew Starkey. Premise Set in 1940s Mexico City, it follows Lee who has fled from a drug bust in New Orleans. Luca Guadagnino
Luca Guadagnino (; born 10 August 1971) is an Italian film director, producer, and screenwriter. His films are often characterized by their emotional complexities, sensuality and sumptuous visuals. He is also known for his frequent collaborations with actors Tilda Swinton, Timothée Chalamet and Michael Stuhlbarg, editor Walter Fasano and screenwriter David Kajganich. Born in Palermo, Guadagnino spent part of his childhood in Ethiopia, but emigrated back to Italy with his family to escape the Ethiopian Civil War. He began his career directing short films and documentaries. He made his feature-film debut with '' The Protagonists'' (1999), the first of his many collaborations with Swinton.
