Queen Egbo
Queen Kamsiyochukwu Egbo (born June 29, 2000) is an American professional basketball player who is currently a free agent. She previously played in the WNBA for the Indiana Fever, Washington Mystics, Connecticut Sun, Los Angeles Sparks and Las Vegas Aces. She played college basketball at Baylor Bears women's basketball, Baylor. She was selected 10th overall in the 2022 WNBA draft by the Fever. She represented the United States women's national under-19 basketball team, United States at the 2019 FIBA Under-19 Women's Basketball World Cup and won a gold medal. Early life Egbo attended Travis High School (Fort Bend County, Texas), Travis High School in Richmond, Texas. During her freshman year in 2015, she averaged 14.2 points, and 13 rebounds per game and 150 total blocks. She also had two triple-doubles and 19 double-doubles during her first varsity season. Baylor Bears Women's Basketball
The Baylor Bears women's basketball team represents Baylor University in Waco, Texas, in NCAA Division I women's basketball competition. They currently compete in the Big 12 Conference. The team plays its home games in the Foster Pavilion. Before the 2021–22 season, the team had been known as the "Lady Bears", but on September 3, 2021, the school officially announced that women's basketball had dropped "Lady" from its nickname. At the same time, soccer and volleyball, the other two Baylor women's teams that were still using "Lady" in their nicknames, also abandoned that usage. The ''Waco Tribune-Herald'' is an American daily newspaper serving Waco, Texas, and vicinity. Background The newspaper has its roots in five predecessors, beginning with the ''Waco Evening Telephone'' in 1892. The ''Tribune-Herald'' took its current identity when E.S. Fentress and Charles Marsh, who owned the ''Waco News-Tribune,'' bought the ''Waco Times-Herald.'' That purchase was the beginning of Newspapers, Inc., a chain that eventually owned 13 newspapers. The Lisa Leslie Award is an award presented annually to the best women's basketball center (basketball), center in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) NCAA Division I, Division I competition. It is named after Hall of Famer Lisa Leslie, an eight-time All Star and two-time champion of the WNBA in her 12 years career with the LA Sparks. The ''Fort Bend Herald and Texas Coaster'' is a newspaper based in Rosenberg, Texas, covering the Fort Bend County area of Texas. It publishes six days a week (excluding Saturday).
