Elise Augustat
Elise Augustat (nĂ©e Queck; 20 July 1889 – 13 March 1940) was a German politician (KPD) who served as a member of the national parliament (Reichstag) between 1930 and 1933. Life Elise Queck was born in Waldheim, a short distance to the south of Königsberg in East Prussia, which at that time was part of Germany. She came from a family of agricultural workers. Her parents, Auguste and Karl Queck, had eight recorded children. Soon after Elise's birth the family relocated to Lägerdorf near Itzehoe, a booming centre of chalk mining and cement production in Schleswig-Holstein. Her father died when she was eight. After leaving middle school at the age of fourteen she worked on the land and in domestic service, at some stage relocating temporarily to nearby Hamburg. Gustav Queck
Gustav Adolf Queck (18 March 1822, Zadelsdorf – 1897, Treptow an der Rega) was a German educator and classical philologist. From 1841 to 1845 he studied philology at the University of Jena. Following graduation he worked as a schoolteacher in Sondershausen, where in 1853 he received the title of professor. In 1866 he became a school prorector in Pyritz, and during the following year was named director of the newly founded gymnasium in Dramburg.
