Qualitative Social Work
''Qualitative Social Work'' is a peer-reviewed academic journal that publishes papers six times a year in the field of social work. The journal's founding editors were Roy Ruckdeschel (Saint Louis University) and Ian Shaw (University of York). The current co-editors are Lissette Piedra (University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign) and Lisa Morriss ( Lancaster University). The journal has been in publication since 2002 and is currently published by SAGE Publications. Scope ''Qualitative Social Work'' is primarily aimed at those interested in qualitative research and evaluation and in qualitative approaches to practice. The journal provides a forum for debate on the nature of reflective inquiry and practice, emerging applications of critical realism in social work, the potential of social constructionist and narrative approaches to research and practice. Social work is an academic discipline and practice-based profession concerned with meeting the basic needs of individuals, families, groups, communities, and society as a whole to enhance their individual and collective well-being. Academic Search is a monthly indexing service. It was first published in 1997 by EBSCO Publishing in Ipswich, Massachusetts. English-language Journals
English is a West Germanic language of the Indo-European language family, with its earliest forms spoken by the inhabitants of early medieval England. Scopus is Elsevier's abstract and citation database launched in 2004. Scopus covers nearly 36,377 titles (22,794 active titles and 13,583 inactive titles) from approximately 11,678 publishers, of which 34,346 are peer-reviewed journals in top-level subject fields: life sciences, social sciences, physical sciences and health sciences. It covers three types of sources: book series, journals, and trade journals. PsycINFO is a database of abstracts of literature in the field of psychology. It is produced by the American Psychological Association and distributed on the association's APA PsycNET and through third-party vendors. It is the electronic version of the now-ceased '' Psychological Abstracts''. In 2000, it absorbed PsycLIT which had been published on CD-ROM.
