Qom Urban Railway
Qom Metro is a metro system serving the city of Qom, Iran, currently under construction. A metro line with a length of with 14 stations is due to be completed by 2025. A monorail line with a length of with 8 stations is partially built but construction has been halted. An extension of the monorail, plus two other brand new metro lines, are being considered as part of future plans. Lines Line A Line A is an underground metro line currently under construction, due to open by the end of 2021. The line has a length of with 14 stations, extending from the Northern edge of the city, passing near Qom railway station and Fatima Masumeh Shrine, terminating at Jamkaran Mosque. Line M Line M is a currently partially built monorail line. The line is planned to connect Fatima Masumeh Shrine to locations upstream and downstream of Qom River. Qom Railway Station
Qom railway station () is located in Qom, Qom Province. The station is owned by IRI Railway. All train services were moved to Mohammadieh railway station on the outskirts of the city, however due to public demand and drop in passenger levels, some services were restored in this city centre station. Fatima Masumeh Shrine
The Shrine of Fatima Masumeh () is a Twelver Shi'ite shrine, located in the city of Qom, in the province of Qom, Iran. Qom is considered by Twelver Shia Muslims to be the second most sacred city in Iran after Mashhad. Fatima Masumeh was the sister of the eighth Twelver Shi'ite Imam 'Ali al-Rida, and the daughter of the seventh Imam Musa al-Kadhim (Tabari 60). In Shia Islam, women are often revered as saints if they are close relatives to one of the Twelver Imams. Fatima Masumeh is therefore honored as a saint, and her shrine in Qom is considered one of the most significant Shi'i shrines in Iran.
