Qingdao Eagles
The Qingdao Guoxin Haitian Eagle Club, also known as Qingdao Daily Fresh or Qingdao Eagles are a Chinese professional basketball team which is based in Qingdao, Shandong. The club plays in the North Division of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA). Conson DoubleStar is the club's Sponsor (commercial), corporate sponsor, and the team's mascot is an eagle. In the 2012–13 season, Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, Basketball Hall of Famer Tracy McGrady played for the club. After the season, McGrady's jersey number was retired by Qingdao. History Qingdao received a great deal of attention from various media outlets around the world when former National Basketball Association, NBA NBA All-Star, All-Star Tracy McGrady signed for the 2012–13 CBA season with Qingdao. Chinese Basketball Association
The Chinese Basketball Association (), often abbreviated as the CBA, is the first-tier professional men's basketball league in China. The league is commonly known by fans as the CBA, and this acronym is even used in Chinese on a regular basis. The CBA should not be confused with the National Basketball League (NBL), which is a professional minor league. There is also a Women's Chinese Basketball Association (WCBA). A few Chinese players who competed in the CBA in the early stages of their careers — including Wang Zhizhi, Mengke Bateer, Yao Ming, Yi Jianlian, Sun Yue, and Zhou Qi — have also played in the National Basketball Association (NBA). Joshua Emmanuel Akognon (born February 10, 1986) is a Nigerian– American professional basketball player who last played for Montakit Fuenlabrada of the Liga ACB. He played college basketball for Washington State and Cal State Fullerton. Standing at , he plays at the point guard position. High school career Casa Grande High School in Petaluma, California. Peter John Ramos Fuentes (born May 23, 1985) is a Puerto Rican former professional basketball player and professional wrestler. He is the sixth athlete from Puerto Rico to play in the National Basketball Association (NBA) and the third drafted, gathering success in the NBA Development League (NBDL), where he was an All Star during the 2006–07 season.
