Al-Sailiya SC
Al-Sailiya Sports Club () is a Qatari professional Association football, football club currently competing in the Qatari Second Division. They are based in the Qatari capital Doha and play their home games at Hamad bin Khalifa Stadium. History Al Sailiya were founded as ''Al-Qadsiyah Sports Club'' on 10 October 1995. The club won the 1998 edition of the Qatari Second Division Cup under the leadership of Iraqi coach Wamidh Munir. In 2003, the club adopted its current name, ''Al Sailiya''. They were relegated in 2006 after finishing at the bottom of the Qatar Stars League. They won promotion back to the Qatar Stars League for the 2007–08 season, but were once again relegated to the Qatargas League in the 2010–11 season. Al-Arabi Sports Club () is a Qatari sports club based in the capital city Doha. Founded in 1952, the most prominent team of the club is the Association football, football team that competes in the Qatar Stars League. The club's home ground is the 44,400-seat Al Thumama Stadium, where they have played since 2023. The Qatar Stars League (; abbreviated as QSL), known as Ooredoo Stars League for sponsorship reasons, is the top level football league in Qatar football league system. Contested by 12 teams, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation with the Qatari Second Division (QSD), with the lowest ranked club at the end of the QSL season being demoted to make room for the promotion of the highest ranked QSD club of the season. The Qatari Second Division (), QSD or Second Division League, also was known as Qatargas League due to sponsorship reasons, is the second tier of the two-tier football league competition in Qatar. Contested by 8 teams, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation with the Qatar Stars League (QSL), the top-tier football league in the country. The QSD seasons, like those of the QSL, run from September to April. The league's first season was played in 1979 which was won by Al-Ittihad. Al-Markhiya Sports Club () is a Qatari multi-sports club, based in the Al Markhiya district of Doha. Its football department plays in the Qatar Stars League.
