Qarahəsənli, Nakhchivan
Qarahəsənli (also, Karagasanli and Kara-Gasanlu) is a village and municipality in the Sharur District of Nakhchivan, Azerbaijan. It is located 10 km away from the district center, on the bank of the Arpachay River. Its population is busy with grain-growing, vegetable-growing, farming, foddering and animal husbandry. There are secondary school, cultural house, library and a medical center in the village. It has a population of 737. Etymology The village's name is pronounced as Qarasannı in the local dialect. The names are considered as the ethno toponym. In the 1940s, the three settlements in named ''Karasan'' were registered in the Crimea. Sharur District
Sharur District () is one of the 7 districts of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of Azerbaijan. The district borders the districts of Kangarli, Sadarak, as well as the Vayots Dzor and Ararat provinces of Armenia and the West Azerbaijan Province of Iran. Its capital and largest city is Sharur. As of 2020, the district had a population of 117,600. Etymology The district was known as Norashen from 1930 to 1964, then Ilich or Ilichyovsk from 1964 to 1991 in honour of Vladimir Ilich Lenin. Crimea

Kerim Kerimov (National Hero Of Azerbaijan)
Kerim Kerimov () (2 July 1971 – 5 May 1992) - National Hero of Azerbaijan was born in the Qarahəsənli village of the Sharur District of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of Azerbaijan. Life After he finished secondary school, he entered the school of Senior Military Engineering Commanders in Tyumen city of the Tyumen Oblast, Russia. He was an excellent student in the military and political trainings. After the Garabagh events started, the Azerbaijani students who were at the last course of Senior Military Engendering Commanders in Tyumen, decided to return to Azerbaijan and continue their education at the School of Senior Commanders. After having military training in Bileceri, they headed to Goranboy Rayon on 15 April. In Battles On 1 May 1992 the operation of neutralizing of the mined territory had started.
