Qadir Ismail
Qadir Ismail (born February 17, 2000) is an American professional football tight end for the Las Vegas Raiders of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Samford Bulldogs and the Villanova Wildcats. Early life Ismail is the son of former NFL wide receiver Qadry Ismail and nephew of former football players Raghib Ismail and Sulaiman Ismail. Ismail played football, basketball, and ran track at The John Carroll School in Maryland. College career Ismail originally played quarterback for Villanova before converting to wide receiver. Prior to the 2022 season, Ismail transferred to Samford, where he completed his collegiate football career as a wide receiver. Professional career Baltimore Ravens After not being selected in the 2024 NFL draft, Ismail signed with the Baltimore Ravens as an undrafted free agent on May 20, 2024. Tight End
The tight end (TE) is an offense (sports), offensive position in American football, arena football, and Canadian football. It is a hybrid that combines the characteristics and roles of both an offensive lineman and a receiver (football), receiver. As part of the receiver corps, they play inside the flanks (tight), contrasted with the split end who plays outside the flanks (wide). Like offensive linemen, they are usually lined up on the offensive line and are large enough to be effective blockers. Raghib Ramadian "Rocket" Ismail (born November 18, 1969) is an American former professional football player who was a wide receiver. He played college football for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish before moving on to both the Canadian Football League (CFL) from 1991 to 1992 and the National Football League (NFL) from 1993 to 2001. Ismail was a consensus All-American with Notre Dame. He recorded two 1,000-yard receiving seasons in the NFL and was a CFL All-Star in 1991, as well as the Most Valuable Player of the 79th Grey Cup. In professional sports, a free agent is a player or manager who is eligible to sign with other clubs or franchises; i.e., not under contract to any specific team.
