Péter Halmosi
Péter Halmosi (; born 25 September 1979) is a Hungarian retired professional footballer who played as a midfielder. At international level, he won 35 caps for his country. His previous clubs include Szombathelyi Haladás, Grazer AK, Debrecen, Plymouth Argyle and Hull City. Biography Born in the ancient western city of Szombathely, Halmosi grew up in a family with significant sporting background. His father, Zoltán, won 11 caps playing for Hungary, and his mother also was involved in professional sport, representing Hungary as an athlete at several international events. Career Halmosi played his first game for his hometown club Szombathelyi Haladás at the age of 18 and stayed at the club until he was 23. In 2002, he joined Austrian side Grazer AK making 17 appearances and scoring 3 goals for the club. After playing several games for the reserves he returned to Hungary signing for Debrecen. The 2006–07 Nemzeti Bajnokság I, also known as NB I, was the 105th season of top-tier football in Hungary. The league was officially named ''Borsodi Liga'' for sponsoring reasons. The season started on 28 July 2006 and ended on 28 May 2007. Debreceni VSC won their third national championship, and became the first team outside of Budapest to complete a three-peat. The club started off the season with coach Attila Supka, who resigned after the club failed to qualify for the Champions League. The team finished off the remainder of the season under Miroslav Beranek, and ended up winning the league eight points clear of MTK. Debrecen's title was confirmed on the 14th of May, upon overcoming Rákospalotai EAC 4-1. The 2005–06 Nemzeti Bajnokság I, also known as NB I, was the 104th season of top-tier football in Hungary. The league was officially named ''Borsodi Liga'' for sponsoring reasons. The season started on 30 July 2005 and ended on 2 June 2006. Debreceni VSC successfully defended their championship, and became the first hungarian club in the 21st century to win back-to-back league-titles. DVSC didn't lose a single game during the first half of the season, and went unbeaten at home for the entire campaign. One of their only two losses that season came against Újpest. UTE and DVSC were joint on points going in to the last day of the season. Debrecen defeated, and in the process relegated Lombard Pápa, while Újpest suffered their only home loss of the season against Fehérvár, who themselves finished 3rd. The 2004–05 Nemzeti Bajnokság I, also known as NB I, was the 103rd season of top-tier football in Hungary. The league was officially named ''Arany Ászok Liga'' for sponsoring reasons. The season started on 7 August 2004 and ended on 26 May 2005. Debreceni VSC became the first eastern hungarian club to win the top-flight, after finishing 6 points above runners-up Ferencváros and third-place MTK. FTC started off the season better, winning 9 of their first 11 fixtures, and were leading the table four points ahead of Debrecen at one stage. The tide turned on Matchday 12, after Debreceni VSC achieved a 2-0 victory over Ferencváros, with a double from Igor Bogdanovic. FTC suffered subsequent losses to Győr, Fehérvár, MTK and Nyíregyháza, and by Matchday 20 DVSC were first place. The Hajdú county-club's title was confirmed with two games to go, in the 28th round. The season started on 25 July 2003 and ended on 27 May 2004. Overview It was contested by 12 teams, and Ferencvárosi TC won the championship under headcoach Attila Pintér. The green and whites started the season well, winning 9 of their 16 matches of the first half of the campaign. However, the team went on a 4-game losing streak in April, including a blow-out 0-4 loss against Balaton FC at home, and two 1-goal losses to their two biggest rivals, MTK and Újpest. Nicholas Jon Barmby (born 11 February 1974) is an English football coach and former professional player. As a player, he played as a midfielder spending nearly his entire career in the Premier League for Tottenham Hotspur, Middlesbrough, Everton, Liverpool and Leeds United. He then had a brief spell with Nottingham Forest in the Football League before finishing his career with home town club Hull City where during an eight-year spell he helped the club earn promotion from League One to the Premier League. He was capped 23 times by England between 1995 and 2001, and was part of the Euro 96 and Euro 2000 squads.
