Päivö Tarjanne
Päivö Kaukomieli Tarjanne (until 1906 Törnqvist; 4 May 1903, Hämeenlinna – 16 December 1989, Helsinki) was a Finnish diplomat. Tarján graduated from the University of Helsinki as a lawyer in 1928 and immediately became an official trainee at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs. He served as ambassador in Oslo between 1945-1950 and at Reykjavík in 1947-1950 and as Permanent Secretary at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs (Finland), Ministry of Foreign Affairs from 1950 to 1953.''Otavan Iso tietosanakirja'', osa 7. Between 1953 and 1956, Tarjanne served as an ambassador in Copenhagen, and the following year, his status became an ambassador when Finland's major delegation's were elevated to embassies. Pekka Tarjanne
Pekka Tarjanne (1937–2010) was a scientist and politician who served as the chairman of the Liberal Party and minister of transport in Finland. He also headed the International Telecommunication Union from 1989 and 1999. Early life and education Tarjanne was born in Stockholm, Sweden, on 19 September 1937. His grandfather was one of the founders of the Liberal Party and served as the minister of interior. In 1960 Tarjanne obtained his master of science degree in engineering and a PhD degree in technology from Helsinki University of Technology at age 24. Career Tarjanne carried out research and teaching in Denmark and the United States and returned to Finland in 1965. He was promoted to the professorship in theoretical physics at the University of Oulu. From 1967 he worked as a professor in the same field at the University of Helsinki. Heikki Ritavuori (previously known as Henrik Rydman'';'' 23 March 1880 – 14 February 1922) was a Finnish lawyer, a politician from the National Progressive Party, a member of the Parliament of Finland and Minister of the Interior. He was the closest colleague of President K. J. Ståhlberg and was Minister of the Interior in J. H. Vennola's first and second cabinets from 1919 to 1922 for a total of 526 days. Minister Ritavuori was shot dead at the door to his home in Helsinki in February 1922.
