Pyotr Todorovsky Jr. () is a Russian film director and screenwriter, son of Valery Todorovsky and grandson of Pyotr Todorovsky and Viktoriya Tokareva. Todorovsky Jr. is an alumni of High Courses for Scriptwriters and Film Directors. His TV series ''The Flight'' won the main prize at Ser!alK!ller 2020 in Brno. As of 2023, he works on detective TV series written by Ivan Baranov. The release is scheduled for 2024. Pyotr Yefimovich Todorovsky (, , 26 August 1925 – 24 May 2013) was a Russian film director, screenwriter, and cinematographer. His son Valery Todorovsky and grandson Pyotr Todorovsky Jr. both became film directors. Biography Early years and WWII Pyotr Todorovsky was born on August 26, 1925, in Bobrynets, Zinovievsky district of the USSR, into a Jewish family. He became the second son of Efim Gilievich Todorovsky and Rozalia Tsalevna Ostrovskaya, after the elder brother Ilya. Pyotr had only finished 9 classes when the World War II forced his family to evacuate first to Stalingrad, then to Novouzensky District of the Saratov Oblast. Viktoriya Samuilovna Tokareva () (born 20 November 1937) is a Soviet and Russian screenwriter and short story writer. Her work has been translated into English and is available in several anthologies as well as in ''The Talisman and Other Stories'' - a book of Tokareva's short stories translated by Rosamund Bartlett. She lives in Moscow, where she continues to write. Biography Viktoriya Tokareva was born in 1937 in Leningrad, in the Soviet Union. Her love for literature began at the age of twelve, when her mother read her "Skripka Rotschil'da" (“ Rothschild’s Violin”), a short story by Chekhov.
