Minangkabau people (; ; ) are an Austronesian people, Austronesian ethnic group native to the Minangkabau Highlands of West Sumatra, Western Sumatra region on the Indonesian island of Sumatra. The Minangkabau's West Sumatera homelands was the seat of the Pagaruyung Kingdom, believed by early historians to have been the cradle of the Malay race, and the location of the Padri War (1821 to 1837). Minangkabau are the ethnic majority in West Sumatra and Negeri Sembilan. Minangkabau are also a recognised minority in other parts of Indonesia as well as Malaysia, Singapore, and the Netherlands. ''Puti'' is a 2012 Filipino psychological thriller film about a counterfeit painter who figures in a freak car accident that renders him color blind; while recuperating, strange things start to happen to him. Puti Kaisar-Mihara
Puti Kaisar-Mihara (born April 28, 1986) is an Austrian martial artist and model of Indonesian origin. Her father Mihar Walk Tan Pangeran (b. 1961) is Minangkabau. Puti Mihara was born in Padang, but moved at the age of three with her father from Indonesia to Vienna,Roland Lehner: where she grew up. A silat student since the age of 3-4, Mihara holds the honorary title of Pendekar and works as the coach at the Pandeka Mihar Institute in Vienna.
