Purple Mountains
Purple Mountains was an American indie rock project formed by musician and poet David Berman. The project debuted in May 2019, over a decade after the dissolution of Berman's previous group Silver Jews. An eponymous album was released in July 2019. The album was recorded primarily in Chicago and produced by Jarvis Taveniere and Jeremy Earl of the band Woods. The project's name is derived from "Purple mountains majesty", a common mondegreen of the lyric "Purple mountain majesties" from "America the Beautiful". ''Nashville Scene'''s Sean L. Maloney described it as "striking, heavy and maybe a little foreboding, yet it implies a majesty that is completely missing from the often-self-deprecating Silver Jews". Universalists (album)
''Universalists'' is the second full-length studio album by Yonatan Gat released in 2018 on Joyful Noise Recordings. Gal Lazer plays drums, and Sergio Sayeg is on bass. The album was produced by David Berman of the Silver Jews and by Gat himself. Other personnel involved with the album's production included Kevin McMahon, Calvin Johnson (Beat Happening), Thor Harris (Swans) and many others. Several of the tracks sample Alan Lomax's European field recording from the 1950s. The album is noted for its advanced editing techniques and global musical perspective, with Spin describing it as: "''an ambitious, sprawling record, a catalog of fever dreams, where styles and sounds dovetail in transparent sheafs of blotter paper...''." The album takes its cues from the editing techniques of Teo Macero (Miles Davis' producer). Suicide
Suicide is the act of intentionally causing one's own death. Risk factors for suicide include mental disorders, physical disorders, and substance abuse. Some suicides are impulsive acts driven by stress (such as from financial or academic difficulties), relationship problems (such as breakups or divorces), or harassment and bullying. The Avalanches
The Avalanches are an Australian electronic music group formed in Melbourne in 1997. They have released three studio albums, ''Since I Left You'' (2000), ''Wildflower (The Avalanches album), Wildflower'' (2016), and ''We Will Always Love You'' (2020), and perform live and recorded DJ sets.
