Purge (EP)
''Purge'' is the first EP released by the industrial alternative rock band Econoline Crush. It was released in Canada in 1994 by EMI, and it garnered them a nomination for a Juno Award. "Pssyche" is a Killing Joke cover, the original being the B-side to the " Wardance" single released in 1980. An alternate demo version of the EP was released in 1993, with different versions of songs and slight lineup changes. Econoline Crush is a Canadians, Canadian Rock music, rock band from Vancouver, Vancouver, British Columbia, formed in 1992. Wardance (song)
"Wardance" is a song by English post-punk band Killing Joke. It was released in February 1980 by Malicious Damage as the band's first single. The song was re-recorded for their self-titled debut album. The song has been performed at most of their live shows. Release "Wardance" was released on 7" vinyl by Malicious Damage. A small number of copies from the original pressing came with a pre-typed form of military 'call-up papers' to be filled out and submitted by the purchaser. The B-side, "Pssyche", was commonly played live. The single did not chart in the UK but reached number 50 in the US ''Billboard'' Dance Music/Club Play singles chart. Cover versions In 1993, Econoline Crush covered "Pssyche" for their ''Purge'' EP, and in 2004, Nouvelle Vague covered it on their self-titled debut album. Rhys Fulber
Nowell Rhys Fulber is a Canadian electronic musician and producer. He is a member of Front Line Assembly and Delerium, along with Bill Leeb. He also records under his own name and under the name Conjure One. Biography Rhys Fulber was born in Vancouver, Canada on October 10, 1970. His father, a musician, was born in Germany and his mother was from Great Britain. His father introduced him to the music of Led Zeppelin and Kraftwerk (and took him along to see Kraftwerk live in 1975). Fulber became interested in music and started drumming on his father's instruments at a very early age. His father later built and ran a recording studio, catering toward the local punk rock scene. Martin Glover
Martin Glover (born 27 December 1960), better known by his stage name Youth, is a British record producer and musician, best known as a founding member and bassist of the rock band Killing Joke. He is also a member of the Fireman, along with Paul McCartney. Early career Martin Glover was born on 27 December 1960 in Slough, at that point part of Buckinghamshire, England. He attended Kingham Hill School, an independent private school in Oxfordshire, where he met Alex Paterson, who would become a roadie for Glover's band Killing Joke, and later founder of The Orb. Paul Ferguson
Matthew Paul Ferguson (born 31 March 1958) is an English rock drummer, best known for his work in the post-punk/industrial group Killing Joke and cult English punk band Pink Parts. Following a stint as the drummer with the London-based Matt Stagger Band in 1978, Ferguson became a founding member of Killing Joke and served as their drummer from 1979 to 1987. He was known as Big Paul Ferguson during this period. Ferguson is known for his tribal drum style. The last album he recorded with Killing Joke was the 1986 release '' Brighter than a Thousand Suns''. Geordie Walker
Kevin "Geordie" Walker (born 18 December 1960) is an English rock musician, best known as the guitarist of post-punk group Killing Joke. His unorthodox style of electric guitar playing is widely acclaimed. Jimmy Page of Led Zeppelin hailed Walker's guitar sound as "really strong". Peer Kevin Shields of My Bloody Valentine praised Walker's guitar playing, which he described as "this effortless playing producing a monstrous sound". Jaz Coleman
Jeremy "Jaz" Coleman (born 26 February 1960) is an English singer and musician. He came to prominence in the early 1980s as the lead vocalist and keyboardist of post-punk group Killing Joke. Coleman is known for his unique raspy baritone voice and intense stage presence (occasionally appearing wearing face makeup). Bill Janovitz, writer for the website Allmusic, described Coleman's stage presence and voice as "almost always full-on in his approach, with a terrifying growl of a voice that is similar to that of Motörhead's Lemmy". Moev
Moev is an electronic band based in Vancouver, British Columbia that recorded on Atlantic Records, Nettwerk Records, Go! Records and Cop International. History Moev was formed in 1981 by Tom Ferris and Cal Stephenson. The band released an EP in 1982, and later that year the electro/techno pop album ''Zimmerkampf''. In an interview with Dean Russell at Lee's Palace back in the early 80's he explained what the name of the band meant. Killing Joke
Killing Joke are an English rock band from Notting Hill, London, England, formed in 1979 by Jaz Coleman (vocals, keyboards), Paul Ferguson (drums), Geordie Walker (guitar) and Youth (bass).
