Pure Therapy
''Pure Therapy'' is the debut album by avant-garde metal band Ram-Zet released on April 30, 2000 under the Finnish record label Spikefarm Records. The band produced the album by themselves. ''Pure Therapy'' starts the schizophrenia theme, continued in the following two releases '' Escape (''2002) and '' Intra'' (2005), with a unique story about this mental disorder in two main characters. Ram-Zet is a progressive metal band (music), band formed in Hamar, Norway in 1998. Genre classification Ram-Zet's music is very diverse ranging from black metal to thrash metal. It has Industrial music, industrial sounds, Progressive metal, progressive structures, and Folk instrument, traditional instruments forming a style which some people, including band mastermind Zet, have called "schizo-metal". Finnvox Studios
Finnvox Studios is a recording studio located in Pitäjänmäki, Helsinki, Finland. It was founded by Erkki Ertesuo, Kurt Juuranto and Lejos Inc. in 1965 and is the longest running studio recording facility in Finland. The original multi-track recording equipment and continuous technical updates of the studio machines and acoustics soon made Finnvox the most sought after studio in the country. Finnish artists that recorded at Finnvox in the 1970s include Rauli Somerjoki, M. A. Numminen and their bands, Wigwam, Agit-prop and many others. Up until the 1990s, Finnvox also operated a vinyl record mastering and pressing facility, which was later converted to new studio rooms and a mixing and recording room for film and TV productions. Progressive Metal
Progressive metal (often shortened to prog metal) is a broad fusion music genre melding heavy metal music, heavy metal and progressive rock, combining the loud "aggression" and amplified electric guitar, guitar-driven sound of the former with the more experimental, cerebral or quasi-classical compositions of the latter. The music typically showcases the extreme technical proficiency of the performers and usually uses unorthodox Chord progression, harmonies as well as complex rhythms with frequent Metre (music), meter changes and intense syncopation.
