Pure Michigan Byway
A Pure Michigan Byway is the designation for a segment of the Michigan State Trunkline Highway System, State Trunkline Highway System in the US state of Michigan that is a "scenic, recreational, or historic route that is representative of Michigan's natural and cultural heritage." The designation was created with the name Michigan Heritage Route by the state legislature on June 22, 1993, and since then six historic, seven recreational and seven scenic byways have been designated by the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT), and another two have been proposed. These byways have been designated in both the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, Upper and Lower Peninsula of Michigan, Lower peninsulas (UP, LP) of the state. M-125 (Michigan Highway)
M-125 is a Michigan State Trunkline Highway System, state trunkline highway in the US state of Michigan. The highway is entirely within Monroe County, Michigan, Monroe County with the southern terminus on the Ohio state border near Toledo, Ohio, Toledo and a northern terminus at U.S. Route 24 in Michigan, US Highway 24 (US 24) in Frenchtown Township, Michigan, Frenchtown Township, north of Monroe, Michigan, Monroe. M-26 is a Michigan State Trunkline Highway System, state trunkline highway in the U.S. state of Michigan, running from east of Rockland, Michigan, Rockland to its junction with U.S. Route 41 in Michigan, US Highway 41 (US 41) in Copper Harbor, Michigan, Copper Harbor. It generally runs southwest-to-northeast in the western half or Michigan's Upper Peninsula of Michigan, Upper Peninsula. The northernmost segment, which closely parallels the shore of Lake Superior on the west side of the Keweenaw Peninsula, is highly scenic. The Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) is a public-private partnership agency and economic development corporation in the U.S. state of Michigan. The governor of Michigan is the head of government of the U.S. state of Michigan. A lame-duck session of Congress in the United States occurs whenever one Congress meets after its successor is elected, but before the successor's term begins. The expression is now used not only for a special session called after a ''sine die'' adjournment, but also for any portion of a regular session that falls after an election. The Michigan Senate is the upper house of the Michigan Legislature. Along with the Michigan House of Representatives, it composes the state legislature, which has powers, roles and duties defined by Article IV of the Michigan Constitution, adopted in 1963. The primary purpose of the Legislature is to enact new laws and amend or repeal existing laws. The Michigan Senate is composed of 38 members, each elected from a single-member district with a population of between approximately 212,400 to 263,500 residents.
