Puppetmastaz
Puppetmastaz is a German hip hop group founded in Berlin with members from Germany, United States and Canada, like Max Turner, Chilly Gonzales, Paul PM (aka Mister Maloke), Mocky and Alex Tiller, who left the band in 2003. Formed in 1996, the group perform their shows with hand puppets and meet music styles of rap, funk and electronica. The producers on at least 3 albums were ''N1tro'', Patric Catani (aka Candie Hank, Ec8or) and ''Bomb 20''. Bandleader Paul Affeld, along with Artist Max Turner, is the only member to have contributed to all 5 albums to date. Former members are also musician and songwriter Adam Traynor and Blake Worrell. Other recent Members: Pilo (Adrian Ilea), Zhi MC (Zhi Yang Trieu) and Luis Nassowitz. Max Turner (musician)
Max Turner is a Scottish-German vocalist, producer and songwriter. He is known for being one of the core founders and contributors of the Puppetmastaz., as well as releasing a steady flow of collaborative and solo projects in his distinctive style of rhythm & poetry since his debut on Felix Kubin's ''Gagarin Records'' in 2001 Life and career Career In 1999 Turner moved to Berlin and founded Puppetmastaz with his cousin Paul Affel Chilly Gonzales and several others. They were joined by Taylor Savvy to form the short lived rap-quartet ''The'' Bench'' which featured on a'' Tommy Boy Records ''release among others.'' The album Lost Treasures furthermore features early collaborations between the above-mentioned Mc's and producers such as Patric Catani, Bomb20 and Nitro, all of whom are considered the artistic bedrock of the Puppetmastaz crew. Mocky (born October 7, 1974) is a Canadian singer, music producer, multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, and composer. Biography Mocky was born Dominic Salole in Saskatchewan, Canada. He later moved to Ottawa and Toronto, and then to London, Amsterdam and Berlin. He currently lives in Los Angeles. His father is of Somali descent, but was born in present-day Yemen. His mother is English. Jason Charles Beck (born 20 March 1972), professionally known as Chilly Gonzales, is a Canadian musician, songwriter, and producer. Currently based in Cologne, Germany, he previously lived for several years in Paris. Gonzales is a musical polymath, known for his rap albums, his collaborations with pop musicians like Feist and Drake, his albums of classical piano compositions (including the ''Solo Piano'' trilogy), and also for his collaborations with electronic musicians like Daft Punk and Boys Noize, the latter with whom he produces as Octave Minds.
