Pull (Winger Album)
''Pull'' is the third studio album by American rock band Winger. The album was released in 1993 by Atlantic Records. Replacing Beau Hill, Kip Winger took the production reins with the help of Mike Shipley, who had previously worked on Def Leppard's 1992 album, Adrenalize. With Winger and Shipley at the helm, the album's production was on a considerable budget and marked a significant change in Winger's sound, eschewing their glam metal anthems prevalent in their first two albums for a harder and more aggressive style of music with socio-political leanings on tracks like "Blind Revolution Mad", "In for the Kill" and "Who's the One". In terms of sales figures the album was not as successful as the two first albums, peaking at #83 on Billboard's Album chart. Winger (band)
Winger is an American hard rock band formed in New York City in 1987. Winger gained popularity during the late 1980s and early 1990s with two RIAA certification, platinum albums, ''Winger (album), Winger'' and ''In the Heart of the Young'', along with charting singles "Seventeen (Winger song), Seventeen", "Headed for a Heartbreak" and "Miles Away (Winger song), Miles Away". In 1990, the band was nominated for an American Music Award for "Best New Heavy Metal Band". As the music scene changed in the early to mid-1990s due to the popularity of grunge, their success faded following their third release, 1993's ''Pull (Winger album), Pull''. Rod Morgenstein (born April 19, 1953) is an American drummer with rock bands Winger and Dixie Dregs. He also played with Fiona, Platypus, the Steve Morse Band, and Jelly Jam. He has also done session work with Jordan Rudess including his ventures with the Rudess/Morgenstein Project. He also toured with Jazz Is Dead. Richard Earl "Reb" Beach Jr. (born August 31, 1963) is an American rock guitarist. He is a member of the bands Winger and Whitesnake. Career After graduating from Fox Chapel Area High School and attending Berklee College of Music in the early 1980s, he played in Fiona's backing band and became an accomplished studio musician, working with the likes of Howard Jones, Chaka Khan, The Bee Gees, Twisted Sister, and Roger Daltrey, among others, showcasing Beach's ability to adapt to various musical styles.
