''A Trap'' () is a 1997 Polish comedy film directed by Adek Drabiński. It was entered into the 20th Moscow International Film Festival. Plot Actor Maciek, an alcoholic and gambler, returns to Poland after many years of living in America. He failed to make a career overseas and hopes to make a life for himself in Poland. However, he has problems with finding his way in the new reality after the fall of the Polish People's Republic, and subsequent attempts to return to his profession end in failure. He accepts a job as a caretaker of Edward Wilk's abandoned house by the sea, but is not aware that it is a trap. There he meets a beautiful neighbor, Ewa, and gets involved in a criminal scandal. Zbigniew Zamachowski
Zbigniew Zamachowski (; born 17 July 1961) is a Polish actor. He is a two-time recipient of the Polish Academy Award for Best Actor. Life and career He was born on 17 July 1961 in Brzeziny near Łódź. Zamachowski graduated from the actor's faculty of the National Film School in Łódź. He began his acting career in 1981 and in 1989 had a co-starring role in Part Ten ''(Thou Shalt Not Covet Thy Neighbor's Goods)'' of director Krzysztof Kieślowski's film series, ''Dekalog''. Four years later, Kieślowski cast him as the lead character, "Karol Karol", in '' Three Colors: White'', the second of his acclaimed Three Colors trilogy. Adek Drabiński
Adek Drabiński (born 16 October 1948) is a Polish film director and screenwriter. He has been nominated for two Golden Lions and has received Gdynia Film Festival Award for Best New Director, as well as Andrzej Munk Film Award. Drabiński is a graduate of Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź's Faculty of Painting (1974) and Leon Schiller National Film School's Film and Television Direction Department (1979). His work in television includes the episodes of the TVP series ''Sensations of the 20th Century'' and Polish remake of ''The Odd Couple'', the latter of which he also co-created. Leon Stanisław Niemczyk (15 December 1923 – 29 November 2006) was a Polish actor. Niemczyk developed into a leading box-office star throughout the 1960s, known for serious dramas, including historical dramas and war films. He appeared in over 500 films and television shows over the course of his career. His most memorable roles were Fulko de Lorche in Aleksander Ford's '' The Teutonic Knights'', Andrzej in Roman Polanski's ''Knife in the Water'' and Jerzy in Jerzy Kawalerowicz's '' Night Train''.
