Puhon
"Puhon" () is a song recorded by the Filipino singer TJ Monterde. PolyEast Records released it as a non-album digital single on May 14, 2020. "Puhon" is a Visayan pop track about a man who wishes to be with the woman he loves. Monterde began writing the song three years prior to its release. He produced and completed "Puhon" in his bedroom in the middle of enhanced community quarantine. The song is a midtempo Visayan pop track featuring guitars and marimba, with lyrics in Cebuano. It received favorable reviews from music critics, with most of them praising the lyrics. "Puhon" was nominated in the Pop Performance of the Year category at the 6th Wish 107.5 Music Awards, as well as Best Performance by a Male Recording Artist at the 34th Awit Awards. 34th Awit Awards
The 34th Awit Awards were held on November 29, 2021. Indie pop duo Leanne & Naara and folk pop band Ben&Ben led the nominations with seven, and won the awards for Album of the Year and Record of the Year, respectively. Titus John Dabuan "TJ" Monterde (born December 30, 1989), is a Filipino singer-songwriter. He gained recognition in 2011 through his viral YouTube videos, where he shared his original compositions, reaching a wide audience and receiving positive feedback online.
