Puerto Rico Classic
The Puerto Rico Classic was a men's professional golf tournament hosted by the Puerto Rico Golf Association and was an event on PGA Tour Latinoamérica from 2012 to 2013. The tournament was hosted at the Dorado Beach Resort in both years and the inaugural winner of the event was Sebastián Vázquez. The 2013 Puerto Rico Classic was played over a shortened 54 holes format following severe weather suspensions. Dorado
Dorado () is a constellation in the southern sky. It was named in the late 16th century and is now one of the 88 modern constellations. Its name refers to the dolphinfish (''Coryphaena hippurus''), which is known as ''dorado'' in Spanish, although it has also been depicted as a swordfish. Dorado contains most of the Large Magellanic Cloud, the remainder being in the constellation Mensa. The South Ecliptic pole also lies within this constellation. Ramón Armando Favela Álvarez (born 23 April 1986) is a Mexican professional golfer who plays on PGA Tour Latinoamérica. Having graduated from Loyola University Chicago in 2009 as the most accomplished golfer in the university's history, Favela turned pro the following year. He made his debut on the Web.com Tour in the same year but has failed to be successful on this tour making just three appearances and just one cut on the Web.com Tour. He made his full debut on PGA Tour Latinoamérica in 2012 at the Mundo Maya Open and made the cut finishing in 11th and continues to play most of his golf on PGA Tour Latinoamérica. Jorge Diogenes Fernández-Valdés (born 6 August 1992) is an Argentine professional golfer who currently plays on the Korn Ferry Tour. PGA Tour Latinoamérica is a third level professional golf tour formed in 2012 and operated by the PGA Tour. It was formed in concert with the now defunct Tour de las Américas. Executives from the Tour de las Américas became employees of the new tour. PGA Tour Latinoamérica is one of a number of lower-tier tours that factor into the Official World Golf Ranking, awarding a minimum of six points to the winner and points to the top six plus ties. The top five in the tour's Order of Merit earn status on the Korn Ferry Tour, with the money leader being fully exempt. The Order of Merit Winner also receives the Roberto De Vicenzo Award, named after one of the first golf stars to come out of Latin America. The 2013 PGA Tour Latinoamérica, titled as the 2013 NEC Series-PGA Tour Latinoamérica for sponsorship reasons, was the second season of PGA Tour Latinoamérica, the main professional golf tour in Latin America, operated and run by the PGA Tour.
