Pudsey Grammar School
Pudsey Grammar School is a secondary school with a sixth form in Pudsey, West Yorkshire, England. It serves over 1300 pupils from the town and surrounding area. The school has a large Sixth Form of over 260 students offering 20 A level courses and 6 Applied General courses. History It was first established in 1905 under the name Pudsey and District Secondary School, meeting in Pudsey Town Hall until the school's first purpose-built building opened on Richardshaw Lane in 1911, with construction having started in mid-1909. The name changed to Pudsey Grammar School in 1944 and was known by this name until 1980 at which point the name changed to Pudsey Grangefield School. It was later given the status of a specialist college of Maths and Computing College, Maths and Computing. In September 2021 the school changed its name back to Pudsey Grammar School. Carolynne Willey (née Good, previously Poole); born 5 August 1980) is a British singer-songwriter, actress and former model from Leeds, England. She is a founding member of the Carolynne Good Band, based in Leeds and London. Dudley Howard Williams (25 May 1937 – 3 November 2010) was a British biochemist known for utilizing nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy and mass spectrometry in the study of molecular structure, especially the antibiotic vancomycin. Biography Dudley Howard Williams was born on 25 May 1937 in Farsley, Yorkshire, the only child of Lawrence Williams, an engineers chief order clerk, and Evelyn (née Hudson). He attended Pudsey Grammar School, from where he gained a place at the University of Leeds. He graduated in 1958 with a first-class BSc in Chemistry. David Trevor Shutt, Baron Shutt of Greetland, (16 March 1942 – 30 October 2020) was a British Liberal Democrat politician who served as Captain of the Yeomen of the Guard and Deputy Chief Whip in the House of Lords between May 2010 and May 2012. Peter Ransley
Peter Ransley is a British screenwriter, playwright and novelist. He also founded the charity Action Against Medical Accidents (AvMA). Early life Peter Ransley was born in Yorkshire in 1931 and grew up in Pudsey where he attended Pudsey Grammar School. Yorkshire County Cricket Club is a professional Cricket club based in Yorkshire, England. The team competes in the County Championship, the top tier of English First-class cricket. Nicknamed "Vikings". Yorkshire also competes in T20 Blast, One-Day Cup (England), One-Day Cup. The men's horizontal bar competition at the 2016 Summer Olympics was held at the HSBC Arena on 6 and 16 August. There were 71 competitors from 34 nations. The event was won by Fabian Hambüchen of Germany, the nation's first victory in the horizontal bar since 1996 and third overall. The horizontal bar, also known as the high bar, is an apparatus used by male gymnasts in artistic gymnastics. It traditionally consists of a cylindrical metal (typically steel) bar that is rigidly held above and parallel to the floor by a system of cables and stiff vertical supports. Nile Wilson
Nile Michael Wilson (born 17 January 1996) is a former British artistic gymnast.
