Pudhu Manithan
''Pudhu Manithan'' () is a 1991 Indian Tamil-language film, directed by Manivannan. The film stars Sathyaraj and Bhanupriya, with Sarathkumar as the antagonist. It was released on 22 March 1991 and became a box office hit. Plot Kabali, an orphan, lives in a slum with an old Brahmin woman named Pangajam, and he considers her like his mother. Kabali is a fisherman and also the slum's rowdy, but he has a heart of gold. He went to jail many times only because he fought against injustice. Suganthi, a chorus singer who is also an orphan, often returns home late. For her safety, she uses Kabali's name to avoid the rowdies and lies that she is his girlfriend. Manivannan
Manivannan (31 July 1953 – 15 June 2013) was an Indian actor, film director, screenwriter, voice artist, playback singer and social activist who worked in Tamil cinema. In a career spanning three decades, he went from being a story and dialogue writer for director Bharathiraja from 1980–82 to a successful director who thrived in experimenting with different genres, before becoming an actor. With over 400 films to his name, Manivannan was one of the most experienced actors in the field and directed exactly 50 films. Manivannan was mainly a supporting actor in films and often played the comedian, supporting character and villainous roles. He supported various political parties, including the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam and the Marumalarchi Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam. He later became affiliated with the Naam Tamilar Katchi. Poornam Viswanathan (14 November 1921 – 1 October 2008) was an Indian actor who predominantly appeared in Tamil films. He started performing on stage at age 18. He worked as a reader for All India Radio, He was the first person in India to announce India was Independent on August 15 in All India Radio. Muthulingam (poet)
Subbiah Muthulingam (born 20 March 1942) is an Indian songwriter. He wrote over 1,500 Tamil film songs, and was the winner of Kalaimamani, Pavender Bharathidasan Award, Best Songwriter Award, Artist Award. Muthulingam was appointed as the Tamil Nadu poet laureate in 1980s by the then Tamil Nadu's Chief Minister M.G. Malaysia Vasudevan
Vasudevan (15 June 1944 – 20 February 2011), popularly known as Malaysia Vasudevan, was a prolific Tamil playback singer and actor. Born in the town of Kuala Selangor in the Federated Malay States (present day Malaysia), he moved to Chennai, Tamil Nadu to work in the Tamil film industry, where he rose to prominence. Vairamuthu Ramasamy (born 13 July 1953) is an Indian lyricist, poet, and novelist working in the Tamil film industry. He is a prominent figure in the Tamil literary world. A master's graduate from the Pachaiyappa's College in Chennai, he first worked as a translator, while also being a published poet. He entered the Tamil film industry in the year 1980, with the film '' Nizhalgal'', an Ilaiyaraaja musical, directed by Bharathiraja.
