Puddle of Mudd is an American post-grunge band formed in Kansas City, Missouri in 1992. The band has sold over seven million albums. Their major-label debut, '' Come Clean'' (2001), spawned the single " Blurry", which peaked at number 5 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100, and remains their signature song. The album sold over five million copies by 2003, and was followed by six additional albums, the latest of which is '' Kiss the Machine'' (2025). Lead singer Wes Scantlin has served as the only consistent member throughout the band's history. ''Stuck'' is the debut EP album by the American rock band, Puddle of Mudd. The seven-song EP was released independently on August 27, 1994, after winning free studio time from a battle of the bands contest they competed in and won the year prior in 1993. The EP marked the band's first commercial release, spawning the single "You Don’t Know" in 1994. "Blurry" is a song by American rock band Puddle of Mudd. It was released on October 16, 2001, as the second single from the band's debut album '' Come Clean'' (2001). It was 2002's most successful rock song in the United States, topping the ''Billboard'' Mainstream Rock and Modern Rock Tracks charts as well as their year-end listings. Paul Phillips (guitarist)
Paul James Phillips (born June 26, 1975) is an American guitarist, most famous for being a member of the rock band Puddle of Mudd from 2001 to 2005 and again from 2009 to 2011. He has also played in the bands Happy Hour, Operator, Society Red and Rev Theory. Early life Paul Phillips picked up guitar when he was 11. His father played guitar in a cover band. His first guitar and amp was a Squier Strat and a small Peavey combo amp, "I don't remember what the name or model it was; I remember it was a small combo thing." Phillips said.
