Renato Montalbano
Renato Montalbano (17 May 1931 – 18 March 2019) was an Italian character actor. Life and career Born in Catania, in 1955 Montalbano abandoned his university studies in medicine to attend at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia in Rome, from which he graduated in 1957. He made his film debut in 1956, and he was among the most active character actors in Italian cinema for about thirty years, alternating genre films and auteur films. Montalbano was also very active on television, where he debuted in 1958 and appeared in dozens of television films and miniseries, often in prominent roles. He died in Rome on 18 March 2019, at the age of 87. Spiros Focás
Spiros Focás (; 17 August 1937 – 10 November 2023) was a Greek actor. Life and career Spyros Fokas was born Spyridon Androutsopoulos in Patras on 17 August 1937. Focás made his first appearance in 1959. He first appeared in Andreas Lambrino's film '' Bloody Twilight'' in 1959. The film was screened at the 1959 Cannes Film Festival and was the starting point for his international career. After this distinction, being also a graduate of Kostis Michalidis drama school, Spyros Focás did not take long to take the risk and go to Italy, to the studios of Cinecittà, where he took advantage of the auditions and the opportunities presented to him. Nerino "Nerio" Bernardi (23 July 1899 – 12 January 1971) was an Italian stage and film actor. He appeared in nearly 200 films between 1918 and 1970. Life and career Born in Bologna, Bernardi started his acting career in 1918 with a local film company, Felsina Film. Ottavio "Ugo" Tognazzi (23 March 1922 – 27 October 1990) was an Italian actor, director, and screenwriter. He is considered one of the most important faces of Italian comedy together with Vittorio Gassman, Nino Manfredi, Marcello Mastroianni and Alberto Sordi. Early life Tognazzi was born in Cremona, in northern Italy but spent his youth in various localities as his father was a travelling clerk for an insurance company. After his return to his native city in 1936, he worked in a cured meats production plant where he achieved the position of accountant.
