Prithviraja I
Prithvirāja I (r. c. 1090–1110 CE) was an Indian king belonging to the Chahamanas of Shakambhari, Shakambhari Chahamana dynasty. He ruled the Sapadalaksha country, which included parts of present-day Rajasthan in north-western India. Early life Prithviraja succeeded his father Vigraharaja III on the Chahamana throne. The 1105 CE Jeenmata, Jinamata inscription gives his title as ''Parama-bhattaraka Maharajadhiraja Parameshvara'', which indicates that he was a powerful king. Military successes The ''Prithviraja Vijaya'' claims that a band of 700 Chaulukyas came to Pushkar, Pushkara Tirtha to rob the Brahmins during the reign of Prithviraja I. The Chahamana king defeated and killed them. This legend may be a reference to Prithviraja's conflict with either Karna (Chaulukya dynasty), Karna or Jayasimha Siddharaja, the Chaulukya kings of Gujarat. Prithviraja II
Prithvirāja II (r. c. 1165–1169 CE) was an Indian king from the Chahamanas of Shakambhari, Chauhan dynasty. He ruled parts of north-western India, including present-day Rajasthan. He is also known by other names, including Prithvi-bhatta, Prithvi-deva and Pethad-deva. Early life Prithviraja was a son of the Chahamana king Jagaddeva (Chahamana dynasty), Jagaddeva. The rule of Jagaddeva was followed by that of his brother Vigraharaja IV, and then Vigraharaja's son Aparagangeya. According to an inscription found at the Ruthi Rani temple at Dhod, Prithviraja defeated the king of Shakambhari. This indicates that Prithviraja de-throned Aparagangeya, and became the Chahamana king. Reign Prithviraja appears to have faced Muslim invasions from the west. Prithviraja III
Prithviraja III (IAST: Pṛthvī-rāja; 22 May 1166 – February 1192), popularly known as Prithviraj Chauhan or Rai Pithora, was a king from the Chahamanas of Shakambhari, Chauhan (Chahamana) dynasty who ruled the territory of Sapadalaksha, with his capital at Ajmer in present-day Rajasthan in north-western India. Ascending the throne as a minor in 1177 CE, Prithviraj inherited a kingdom which stretched from Thanesar in the north to Jahazpur, Jahazpur (Mewar) in the south, which he aimed to expand by military actions against neighbouring kingdoms, most notably defeating the Chandelas of Jejakabhukti, Chandelas. Prithviraj Singh I
Prithviraj Singh I (died 4 November 1527), also known as Prithvi Singh I, was a 16th-century Rajput ruler of Amber. He was a monarch of strong religious inclinations and during his reign, Amber became increasingly politically active. He took part in the Rajput alliance against the Mughal emperor Babur, fighting against the latter in the Battle of Khanwa alongside Rana Sanga of Mewar in 1527. Three of Prithviraj's sons successively followed him as ruler of Amber, with many of his descendants also populating the kingdom's highest aristocracy in subsequent centuries. Reign Prithviraj ascended the throne of Amber after the death of his father, Raja Chandrasen, in 1503. Balireddy Prudhviraj (born 6 August 6 1964) is an Indian actor and politician known for his roles in Telugu films. Prithviraj Chavan (; born 17 March 1946) is an Indian politician who was the List of Chief Ministers of Maharashtra, 17th Chief Minister of Maharashtra from 2010 to 2014. Prithviraj Kapoor (born Prithvinath Kapoor; 3 November 1906 – 29 May 1972) was an Indian actor who is also considered to be one of the founding figures of Hindi cinema. He was associated with IPTA as one of its founding members and established the Prithvi Theatres in 1944 as a travelling theatre company based in Bombay.
