Provincial Highway No. 61, usually known as the West Coast Expressway (西部濱海快速公路), is a highway that runs along the west coast of Taiwan. Several sections of the highway are freeway standards with no at-grade intersections, while the rest are local highway standards. There are several sections open for traffic. Tamsui District
Tamsui District () is a seaside District (Taiwan), district in New Taipei City, Taiwan adjacent to the Tamsui River and overlooking the Taiwan Strait. Lukang
Lukang, formerly romanized as Lugang and also known by other names, is an urban township in northwestern Changhua County, Taiwan. The township is on the west coast of Taiwan, facing the Taiwan Strait. Lukang was an important sea port in the 18th century and 19th century. It was the most populous city in central Taiwan until the early 20th century. In March 2012, it was named one of the ''Top 10 Small Tourist Towns'' by the Tourism Bureau of Taiwan. Name The township's name, which means "Deer Port", came from its deerskin trade during the Dutch period. Dayuan District
Dayuan District (; Taiwanese: Tuā-hn̂g-khu), formerly known as Dayuan Township (; Taiwanese: Tuā-hn̂g-hiong) is a coastal district in northwestern Taoyuan City, Taiwan. History Dayuan District was originally named ''Toa-khu-hng'' (), literally means a vast (大) vegetable garden (坵園) as an old Chinese name). In the earlier days, cottage scattered around the district with very limited settlers that grows vegetable and sweet potatoes. Hoklo people migrated to the area during the rule of Kangxi. In avoidance of the invasion of Yue people, walled villages were built around the settlements of Hoklo people. Linkou District
Linkou District () is a District (Taiwan), district in the northwestern part of New Taipei City in northern Taiwan. The name "Linkou" translates to "forest mouth"; in fact, for much of its history, Linkou remained a relatively rural and undeveloped district. Xindian District
Xindian District () is an inner city District (Taiwan), district in the southern part of New Taipei City, Taiwan. Name Xindian's name originated during the Qing Dynasty close to 300 years ago. According to legend, a person named Lin and others came from Quanzhou, Fujian, Fujian Province. On a mountain road leading to Wulai, Taipei, Wulai, they built a small cabin and opened a store selling groceries for the exchange of goods with mountain Taiwanese aborigines, aborigines. Since the store had no formal name, travelers called it ''Sintiam'' (). Port Of Taipei
The Port of Taipei or Taipei Harbor () is a port in Bali District, New Taipei, Taiwan, and is the country's newest international port. Phase I of the project was initiated by Port of Tamsui in 1993 and completed in 1998. Government and private investors have cooperated on Phase II construction since July 1996.
