Proud Island
The Willis Islands are a small archipelago to the west of South Georgia Island in the South Georgia Islands. They are west of Bird Island, separated by the Stewart Strait. They were discovered on 14 January 1775 by Captain James Cook and named for Cook's midshipman Thomas Willis, the crew member who first sighted them. The Willis Islands were charted in greater detail and individually named by Discovery Investigations (DI) personnel between 1926 and 1930. Geography Main Island The archipelago's largest island is called Main Island, so-named because at long and high, it is the principal island in the group. Its southwestern point is called Johannesen Point, originally "All Johannesens Point," likely by DI personnel. Following a survey of the island in 1951–52, the South Georgia Survey (SGS) reported that the cumbersome name was seldom used locally. On that basis, the UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee (UK-APC) recommended the present shortened form of the name. Wes ... PROUD (clinical Trial)
Pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP), is the use of medications to prevent the spread of disease in people who have not yet been exposed to a disease-causing agent. Vaccination is the most commonly used form of pre-exposure prophylaxis; other forms of pre-exposure prophylaxis generally involve drug treatment, known as chemoprophylaxis. Examples include taking medication to prevent infection by malaria or HIV. In particular, the term ''PrEP'' is now synonymous in popular usage with the use of pre-exposure prophylaxis for HIV prevention. In general, the use of pre-exposure prophylaxis requires balancing the risks of the treatment (e.g., side effects from a drug) to healthy individuals with the risk of the disease. It should be contrasted with post-exposure prophylaxis, which is used once the patient has already been exposed to the infectious agent. Live & Rare (Korn Album)
''Live & Rare'' is a compilation album by American nu metal band Korn, released on May 9, 2006. It features 13 tracks: all seven from the DVD featuring 2003's CBGB show in New York, which are found on special editions of '' Greatest Hits Vol. 1'', two from Woodstock 1999, three cover songs (one a hidden track from '' Follow the Leader'' and another a hidden track from ''Take a Look in the Mirror''), and "Proud", taken from the ''I Know What You Did Last Summer'' soundtrack. The compilation was released after Korn left Epic Records, so it is likely the band had no contributions to the track listing. Also, there is no new material on this album, and most of the tracks are available on other releases, thus sales of the compilation were disappointing.
